Interview with Most Charismatic White House Resident

Interview with Most Charismatic White House Resident

Can you believe it? I finally managed to get an interview with the most charismatic and famous resident of the White House in Washington, DC! I can’t believe it myself. It was not easy.

First, I had to get security clearance from the FBI, CIA, DEA, FCC, FDA, NSA and NASA.Then I had to sign a Confidentiality Agreement not to reveal his name.

Here are just a few of the significant issues we discussed:

me – I want to thank you for granting this interview. I do appreciate it immensely. How would you like to be addressed?

Interviewee – Your Royal Highness would be fine.

me – I beg your pardon!

Interviewee – Just kidding. Since this interview is confidential, why not use the pseudonym, ‘CR,’ for Charismatic Resident?

me – Perfect! Are you aware that some citizens are not happy with certain White House policies?

CR – So what else is new? Which policies do you have in mind?

me – For starters, Obamacare with its many convoluted regulations as well as higher insurance costs for individuals and businesses.

CR – Well, as Nancy (Pelosi) has famously pointed out, we will just have to read it – the Affordable Healthcare Act, that is – to find out what is in it.

me – I have spoken to a number of small business owners who believe the higher costs and penalties associated with this act may force them to fire some present employees and not hire replacements.

CR – We all have to make sacrifices at times.

me – Some folks criticize the administration’s continuous focus on solar energy when so many of those companies have failed.

CR – Well, speaking for myself, I love the sun. Sunshine is good for your health. There is nothing to compare with being outside in the sun having a healthful picnic with the family. And then playing a game of softball together.

me – Which position do you play?

CR – I am most effective in the outfield. No one else on the team retrieves balls as well as I do.

me – Getting back to policy – what’s with the stalemate on releasing full details about the Benghazi massacre? Who is to blame?

CR – Ultimately, the media will probably blame me. I’m the one who always gets blamed for all the ‘$h!t’ around here.

me – What do you think of Michelle’s focus on the foods that our schoolchildren eat?

CR – Food has long been one of her preoccupations. You should see some of the so-called healthy food concoctions that she insists I eat.

me – Do you do everything she suggests?

CR – Absolutely! She wields the power in the family.

me – Do you get to spend much time with the children, Malia and Sasha?

CR – When they are not in school, I romp with them as much as possible.

me – Romp with them?

CR – Oh, yes, exercise is crucial. I try to run more than a mile every day to stay in shape.

Bo the First Dog
Bo the First Dog

me – I have to admit that during this interview you have been completely transparent. I thank you for being so candid.

CR – Well, I don’t believe in dogging it. Nor begging the question.

me – Is there any truth to the rumor that an Executive Order or Amendment to the Constitution is being considered to allow a presidential third term?

CR – That information is classified, but I can say . . . oh, oh, have to trot quickly back to the White House. I can hear my master, Bar … (oops!) calling me. Adeus e obrigado - that's Goodbye and thank you in Portuguese.

Footnote: For the uninitiated, Bo, the official White House dog, is a handsome male Portuguese water dog. President Obama calls him the First Dog. Is there any connection between Bo and CR? My lips are sealed.

In homes across the nation, when someone dares to ask the question, it's usually the man who passes the blame with "the dog did it." And, since it's a universal 'truth' that women don't suffer gas, it's no wonder that Michelle rules the roost. However, since she is taken the task as diet police, Bo has legal rights to deny culpability. Truth be told, 'cute', dare I say adorable, carries enormous power. Bo has it in spades. So do you, drbj. Your intellect reigns supreme in your comic genius. I laughed so hard, had I not been a woman, I would have had to ask my pup to 'pardon me'!

Hi, cute Carol. Thanks for appreciating my humorous take on our present situation. To have 'nailed it' was my goal. And I love the 'brilliantly.'

Very perceptive, SilentReed, to quote Ben Franklin's most applicable saying. Unfortunately, bad political decisions force more upon the citizens than merely scabies. Scabies, unless I'm mistaken, is curable.

Delighted to meet you, the girls. And you are right on the mark. Bo is the one responsible for all that is negative ... but you have to admit he IS cute.

Happy you enjoyed the interview and thanks for the Up.

Another great fun interview! I never knew that BO was called the"First Dog", but His Royal Highness certainly deserves his name, his "great" health care insurance plan and his delicious food (no wonder he wants to keep his bone...)

That the reason why the U.S. is going to the dogs? Ben Franklin said "He that lies with dogs shall rise up with fleas." Bad political decisions and the country end up with a bad case of scabies. ;)

I believe CR gets the blame for everything.... The meteor that landed on Russia was obviously Bo's fault.

Voted up and congratulations for the great interview :-)
