Is this where shopping trolleys come when they’ve had enough…

Updated on February 3, 2012

A sad end to some worthwhile shopping trolleys

Trolleys from Asda

I was cycling along quite happily, when I stumbled upon this sight of some forlorn looking shopping trolleys. The picture was taken near the Asda supermarket, on the banks of Lake Lothing, in sunny Lowestoft. The tide was out, which is why the trolleys are exposed. It looks like they’ve just had enough of carting people’s shopping about, and have decided to end it all be hurling themselves into the water.

Or, it could just be that the trolleys have been thrown into the mud by a bunch of drunks. Who knows…
