Isobella Caroline Boucher --- Upclose and Very Personal
Who is This Beauty?
We bumped into this future star on a website for actors and performers (Stage32). At first we thought she could not be reached due to her busy schedule. We were wrong! One hello led to a timid and candid conversation. We did exchange thoughts about this crazy world and she could not stop from the first second on. Well, here is what we found about her: A beautiful soul behind those wondrous eyes...
Follow us in our journey to find the soul behind the looks.
We appreciate your time and is our pleasure to have you with us...
So flattering of you Joseph... thanks!
Before I get nervous I want to start our interview...
I know what you mean (smiles)
Here we go then: where were you born Isobella?
I was born in New York City.
Can you tell us about your modeling career? Were you discovered, or you just signed for a talent agency? This is your life and you know yourself better than Google.
My modeling career happened by chance.
Well, I was born by chance, I signed for this site by chance and I was stopped by a cop by chance...
You are so funny! OMG! My first love was ballet, and I studied at ABT (American Ballet Theater), New Dance Group, Martha Graham and Jennifer Muller, where I was a scholarship student and performed at their company's performance showcases. But, oh my dream! Due to a knee injury, I stopped; that is when I was discovered by a photographer in Soho. I was standing, huh, waiting for the train...
I think you waited like Charlize Theron at a bank. The right time at the right place...
Yep! I eventually was signed to Ohm model management, but then went freelance. Currently I am the model and spokesmodel for Lucky Louie Handbags GMF fashions and have been in various fashion shows.
I heard you write poetry. What is behind the words? Can you give us an example of your own work?
My poetry is a part of me. Poetry represents my inner-self, my dreams and thoughts on life, love, nature and spirit. The written word is a mystery in its ability to transcend thoughts and ideas.
A POEM on POETRY
Transcending up higher than the stars
ecliptically imagery of thought shower like meteorites
forming words like stars through my mind
visionary tunnels lead me to unknown places
where alphabetical letters can give praise to the capture of the written word
elusive
mysterious
at times reclusive
the lines of a poet...
expressing the inner thought of themselves and the world that we live
through verse and rhyme after we live...
I think I must of come from this time, somewhere in the south, if I lived before, a country girl with a elegant face
Have you done theater?
Yes! I have done theatre. I performed at The Producers Club, "Going Backwards" in 2011. I wrote and acted in that play. I played Karoline.
The gig was based on poetry. Putting it simple, it was about two lovers of time forgotten. I also performed with the Alacrity Acting Group in Soho, run by my good friend Emily. I performed in "Name" and a short pic named "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," about the theory of soulmates and reincarnation. I find theatre very stimulating and elegant.
Any pet that gives you company?
Unfortunately I do not have any pets although I want one. I love animals, puppies, cats, and turtles.
A single day in your life, in your own words?
A single day in my life. For some reason I wake up early, have coffee and take a look outside. Then I usually go and check my emails painstakingly... and start writing. I am most creative in the morning as far as writing goes. Then I head to work since I am working with the handbag company and with another designer on a fragrance perfume line.
I create perfumes because I love the scents of flowers and nature. But when I have modeling shoots, I am usually gone for the day. However, on typical days I like to work out and go for coffee with my friends and walk around the city. I happen to like simplicity of nature, so my favorite place is Central Park.
Is religion important for you?
Religion is very important to me because we are all created by God and we are miracles. Although during times of war religion is very controversial, and seems to cause much upheaval which I do not understand. All paths reach God so I do not believe in any type of prejudice to anyone's religious beliefs... and wish the rest of the world would see that.
Each practice of religions is mystical and beautiful if we can grasp the true understanding. To love and care for each other, to care for our Earth and to love our maker. I do practice my religion, I am Roman Catholic but respect all other religions. I also have deep reverence toward Buddhism, although by practice it is more a way of life. A way of being.
Have you traveled abroad?
I have not traveled abroad yet but I would like to go to France , Macedonia and Italy.
Wow, your own roots calling you back. Do you believe in miracles? Can you share a story worth telling?
I do believe in miracles. Actually we are walking miracles. I did witness two miracles but to me is far too deep to express correctly. It would take hours to explain the depth of those two accounts. What I do find miraculous is healing and growth. Like those flowers blooming every spring. Or, for instance, when we become ill or sick and get well. Love is the greatest miracle. It CERTAINLY is.
The best advice you ever received from a friend, relative or couple?
The best advice given to me, was given by my dance director, Rick Shussel, "just show up.. the rest will take care of yourself and to believe in yourself," My own advice, "see only through your own eyes. Each one of us unique. Just believe in your own dreams. They are real and never ever surrender."
ACTING AND A WICKED WORLD
Talking about ACTING, how can we improve it? What is your best approach to... how can you get the best out of you as a performer?
I advice to read Shakespeare and Scott Fitzgerald, two of my favorites, read the masters to understand the plays and the characters. Go to many performances and JUST... create for yourself. For playwrights look into your own life, the stories you have lived; you will be surprised in what you can create.
That was a cool answer! Why is that this world is getting mean and wicked? How can we make this world better?
The world is so corrupt and wicked now because of a loss, a loss of humanity. A loss of humility, a loss of nature, a loss of love. Loving each other for who we are, not what we can bring.
Technology and computers have much to do with it also, everything is through a computer. People date on line; actually we live in front of a PC screen, when there is a world out there: our own planet.
Also power is causing wickedness and corruption throughout the countries. Religion's misunderstanding, as which one is better than the others, is destroying us day by day.
Killing, bombing, starvation, cruelty in any form is not right. It is that people are not looking at the bigger picture. If people took the time to be kind to each other, help those who are in need with a simple caring word, this planet would be so different. The good within us could change the world but it is a constant battle we fight.
The wicked is causing problems to the good, by what they do and say. The goal of the wicked is to stop the good, bring them down, by trickery. Money, lies, egos.
We can stop that by being stronger and believing in yourself. Choosing your words carefully, being kinder to others and start participating in groups that bring humanity back to center. We all can start today!
It also begins at home, be kinder to those near to you. The homeless is also a big issue. How much cost to give a homeless person a coffee or some food and say hello? To be accepted is also part of many people's problems. Accept people as the person they are or may have been. We are all living on the same earth. Start today!
Isobella, you have surprised us with you own view of life, your own philosophy and deep thinking. I wish you the best and hope to see you succeed on all your endeavors. Still touched by your words...
Same wishes for you Joseph. I can't believe I answered to you so openly! Thanks!
My pleasure!
