Jeremy Clarkson Hype

Updated on March 30, 2015

Most people will be aware of this well known man, Jeremy Clarkson. He is a journalist, writer and until recently the controversial television host on the ever demanding and popular programme on BBC 2, Top Gear.

His contract ended after an investigation was made after an alleged attack on a producer which led to the BBC ending his contract. I was amongst the several hundred thousands of people that signed a petition to reinstate Jeremy which didn't prevail.

Like all stories that hit the media, has blown out of proportion and rumours have begun. It has got so out of hand that there was an article on the Daily Mail about death threats being made to the BBC Chief Tony Hall.

In my opinion, this incident was bound to happen, not because of the way Jeremy acts or the way he speaks, but because it seems they were waiting for an excuse to sack him. Yes he has been given "warnings" but if you know how Jeremy speaks, you know what he says is tongue and cheek and in a way old fashioned.

A recent incident that happened in Argentina, shouldn't have resulted in a warning, the number plate wasn't something he could control. It was ridiculous, if the car had a phallus painted on the side with some rude remark made about his co-presenters I would understand and we would all know it was his doing.

The future of Top Gear is unclear, despite the BBC stating they plan on airing the programme in 2016, without the trio it will no longer be Top Gear. The programme was not just full of laughter, facts, cars, useless facts and interesting news and guests; but every Sunday it provided an hour of undisturbed quality time.

Until the future of the trio is revealed; Netflix and Dave provide us with the ability to watch classic episodes.

Do you think the BBC should of renewed Jeremy's contract?

I love to watch the show 'Top Gear". Without Jeremy, Richard and James, the show will not be the same.

Today morning also I had good laughter watching an older episode
