Junior Boys - Videos

Junior Boys - In the Morning

Junior Boys - Like a Child

My favorite group at the moment is Junior Boys, an indie pop/electronica duo from Canada. Jeremy Greenspan provides lead vocals and plays the guitar; Matt Didemus plays the keyboard.

Their sound is vaguely similar to Depeche Mode, but maybe a bit mellower and with a new-millennium sound vs a 1980s mod sound. "Count Souvenirs" demonstrates this similarity most strongly.

We were lucky to see them perform at Chop Suey in Seattle in May 2007 and they put on a great show.

They've released two albums so far: "Last Exit" and "So This Is Goodbye". The videos to the right are from the latter album. They've also released an EP called "The Dead Horse" with a handful of remixes of tracks from "So This Is Goodbye".

The first two videos to the right are produced by Junior Boys; the bottom two were created by contestants in a video contest sponsored by the group in 2006.

Thanks all! I'm glad they make their videos so freely available (instead of clamping down like most bigger acts).

Yeah, I can hear the "pong" kind of early 80s computer game sort of sound to Like a Child. :)

The second one reminded me a bit of "pong" in the beginning.. if you recall the game.. ;)
