Just Once

Updated on December 20, 2009

in a blue moon

I am not a born artist. I do not sing nor dance. I can count in my two bare hands the number of times I performed on the stage.

This month, Christmas parties are all around. And in every party, there are programs. Well, just for fun, since I am one of the new employees in the department, I have to show some moves. I, together with my colleagues who are also new in the office prepared for dance number for the Office Party. It wasn’t a good show but we’re able to paint smiles on our viewers. Oh my! I am really glad they smiled.

There’s one thing I learned from this experience I had. It is about never limit ourselves. Explore all the possibilities that come our way. No one knows – you can be the next star and inspire others to get out of their shells.

Lastly, though I was really hesitant in joining this event, I can say that I enjoyed the experience – and I will treasure these for the rest of my life. These only happen once in a blue moon. (Funny but I actually highlighted it in my journal.)

Happy Reading!!!

Thanks for the comment Mrvoodoo... yes it is really hard to overcome such a stage fright. Quite harder because I am not talented. If there's one thing that kept me goin' - it's telling myself that I must ENJOY everything that I do in my life :)

      MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO! :)

Congratulations on overcoming your nerves, I would find that hard to do. There's good advice here for the rest of us, don't submit to your fears.

Take care and have a great Christmas.
