KAMALATA: A Superculture of Artistic Expression
KAMALATA - THE RISE
KAMALATA is a Rock n’ Roll inspired musical project, centrally focused on the idea of transcendence where verbiage and musical influences create a means for people to channel their current state into a Superculture. With strong lyrical content focusing on the class system, poverty and war. KAMALATA also incorporates other significant life issues into its musical presence.
Heavily influenced by all things Rock n’ Roll, folk and also jazz, punk, techno, Western and Eastern classical music it is no wonder their sound is creatively innovative and unique. The talent of KAMALATA shows through the lead vocals and song writing talents of Neda Zahraie, and remains constant throughout the instrumental incorporations of Gabriel Gordon and Fred Rubens on guitar, Jesse Murphy on bass guitar, and Aaron Johnston on drums. These musicians can all be heard collaboratively on the upcoming debut album: Red Lips.
With upcoming shows scheduled for every Tuesday night during the month of March at Nublu on Avenue C, in the East Village of Manhattan, music lovers and Rock n’ Roll enthusiasts alike and can purchase tickets in advance or simply arrive at 10 pm to purchase $10 tickets at the door.
