Country singer Keith Urban

Keith Urban originates from Queensland, Australia and was born in New Zealand. Urban was born on October 26, 1967 and is 44 years-old. Urban got into the music business at a young age. At the age of eight, he started to enter and win singing contests. In 1990 he signed with EMI records in Australia and released his first solo album. Urban eventually moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he became a guitarist for Brooks and Dunn.

Keith Urban has won numerous awards for his music. Urban has won many awards at the Country Music Awards of Australia throughout the years. Some of the categories he has won awards in include junior male vocalist, best duet, best new talent and best solo act.

He has also taken home some awards at the CMT Music Awards throughout the years. Some of the awards that he has won t the CMT Awards include awards for collaborative video of the year and best male video.

The singer has also taken home a few Grammy Awards. The category he has won awards for at the Grammys were for best male country vocal performance.

Urban has also taken home many other awards that he has won at other award shows. He has won awards from 1977-2011.

Keith Urban also had a drug addiction when he moved to Nashville. The singer eventually beat the addiction when he sought help at a treatment center located in Nashville. Shortly after he beat the addiction, he released his self-titled debut album in America. Urban ended up having five hits on the album and he ended up winning the Top New Male Vocalist Award at the 2001 Academy of Country Music Awards.

The country singer is also married to actress Nicole Kidman, and the couple has been married since 2006. The pair has two daughters together named Sunday and Faith.
