Kelly Clarkson and Jordan Meredith Duets Performances

Updated on May 25, 2012

Jordan Meredith is a singer who is competing on the first season of the ABC show Duets. She is teaming up with Kelly Clarkson, who is one of four celebrities participating in this unique contest. The three other celebrities joining Kelly are Jennifer Nettles, John Legend, and Robin Thicke.

The way the show works is each celebrity has two duet partners. The duos perform against each ohter and are eliminated in a format that has not yet been revealed. Hopefully, the premiere episode will do a better job of explaining the rules than what the ABC Duets website does. At any rate, the non-celebrity contestant in the winning duet earns a Hollywood Records recording contract.

Jordan Meredith is a Wisconsin native who is currently in beauty school. She picked up singing from her father. According to her Meredith's bio, she loves all sorts of genres and is singing all the time. It sounds like this is an inexperienced amateur, but we will have to see what kind of voice she has.

You can watch Duets on Thursdays to see how well Kelly and Jordan perform. Duets premieres on May 24th, and the first episode starts at 8 and lasts two hours. I will provide recaps of Kelly and Jordan's duets in this article after their performances air on ABC.

On the premiere episode of May 24, 2012, Jordan and Kelly sang the latter's latest hit single, "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)." Jordan got only 7th out of the 8 contestants. No one was eliminated this week, so she really needs higher scores next week or may be eliminated.
