Killer Cars - Best Vehicles From Horror Movies

Updated on June 28, 2011

This is my tribute to some of the coolest "killer" cars from horror movies.

Very simplistic subject matter, love horror movies, guts and splatter trails. Love cars. Why not look at the collaboration of the two.

The Car - 1977 Lincoln Continental Mark III

Mysterious car randomly mowing down citizens of a Utah town. (65 points for mother AND child!) Good news, it was left wide open for a sequel. Wonder why no one tried to continue this heartwarming story?

The Wraith - 1984 Dodge M4S

Man is killed and returns as a leather clad revenge killer with a futuristic car.

Terrible movie - Very cool car

Jeepers Creepers - 1941 Chevy COE

One of the few fans of this movie, I loved this scene. The old truck scaring the hell out of those kids driving down the road was an instant classic.

Two thumbs up here.

Nightmare On Elm Street 5 - The Dream Child - The Freddy Bike

Fell asleep while driving, well here, hop on this motorcycle, nothing bad could possibly happen. Oh wait, you're in a Nightmare movie. Sorry bub.

Freddy comes to life (as the bike) and turns you into a half man, half machine, half a minute from dead guy. Good times.

Wheels of Terror - 1971/74 Dodge Charger

Murderer/pedophile seeks innocent young girls for fun, torture, and perhaps murder. Just look for the homicidal maniac in the nice Charger.

Maximum Overdrive - Goblin Truck

I'm torn when it comes to this movie. The beginning you have a lot of high points when the machines start coming to life and killing people. But a lot of the rest of the movie is low points. But you gotta love the Goblin Truck with Happy Toyz written in colorful letters on the side. An ominous sign that something bad was going to happen, soon.

Death Race - 2005 Mustang GT

Like a bad movie version of Twisted Metal (video game) but I do have a soft spot in my heart for Mustangs, and when you strap a few gatling guns to the hood, who can resist?

Deathproof - 1971 Chevy Nova

Kurt Russel hunts down and kills random sorority chicks one by one in his cherry 1971 skull emblum Chevy Nova. He pretends to be a nice guy and offers a girl a ride home. Oh did he forget to mention that it's only death proof for the driver? oops.

Planet Terror - Custom Chopper

First you take a custom chopper.

Place a scantily clad, sweaty, prosthetic machine gun legged Rose McGowan.

That's it, that's all you need.

Chrisine - 1958 Plymouth Fury

Homicidal right from the factory line, this possessed car was jealous, possessive, and pathological. Not to mention her regenerative powers. This is what makes her #1 on my list.

You didn't mention the first Death Race movie with David Carradine and Sly Stallone. Otherwise a good list

The only reason it didn't rank higher for me was because it wasn't a "main" part of the story. It was really only in about three scenes. Thanks for reading.

I would've put the jeepers Creepers "be eating you" at the top of my list, personally, but love your hub! Voted up and fun!
