The series 'Sherlock' shown on BBC1 has been running now for a while and I started watching the programme from the beginning which I immensely have enjoyed. The series is bringing the creations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle bang up to date in modern day Britain with Holmes being played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Watson played by Martin Freeman. The usual characters from the Conan Doyle books are there like Holmes housekeeper Mrs Hudson and Sherlock's brother Mycroft and his enemy Moriarty.

Some Sherlock Holmes fans who prefer to see the sleuth in Victorian London chasing the likes of Jack The Ripper in White Chapel may not like the setting for Holmes in modern day UK never the less the series has been a hit.

These episodes shown over Christmas and into the New Year have been billed as Sherlock and Dr Watson's last adventures called 'Sherlock's Final Problem'. The final episode broadcast last night kept the viewer on the edge of their seat from start to finish with every twist and turn - well done BBC!

However it has emerged that this final episode kept under wraps by the BBC has been leaked onto the internet. It would seem the Russians are behind it as the episode shown on the internet is dubbed into Russian as if being broadcast by Russia's Channel One.

It is thought this is a Russian cyber attack in retaliation for the BBC expanding its Russian radio service and on Twitter the series producer of 'Sherlock' Sue Vertue confirmed this had been a Russian leak. Mean while the BBC and Russia's Channel One are investigating how the leak came about and when was the leak posted onto the internet.

Steven Moffatt the series creator said although this 'Sherlock' episode has been billed the final one there could be future episodes in the pipeline.
