Lena Dunham Breaks Up The Simpsons??

Updated on June 15, 2015

You read that right... expect some crazy changes this season!

It is with a deep sadness in my heart that I am to report that Marge and Homer Simpson are reportedly separating after 26 seasons! Hollywood is torn apart by the turn this show is going to be taking this season. According to E! online news, Executive producer Al Jean reported to Variety that Homer has been suffering from a terrible case of narcolepsy. The disease had caused a horrible strain on their Marriage. They decide to legally separate, and in turn Homer falls in love with a character voiced by Lena Dunham, who is his pharmacist. He then goes on to explain that all of the lead actors from Girls will play bit parts on the show. (Oh. Yay.)

Really? Lena Dunham? Many celebrities have voiced their opinions. In fact, Whoopi Goldberg, (Who has appeared on the cartoon herself in the past.) seemed to have a very strong suggestion on the matter tweeting, "What about a sister?" I agree, Whoopi. Especially with all the fire Lena has been under about her self-proclaimed sibling molestation, it is a strange choice.

According to E!, Jean goes on to discuss even more celebrity guests that will appear on the show for it's 27th season. There's an episode where Lisa befriends a homeless woman who turns out to be an incredible singer. The singer is voiced by Kate McKinnon, but the singing is done by Natalie Maines. Spider Pig is going to make a comeback, and even sideshow Bob appears in a part. We basically get to see him do something he's wanted to do for 25 years. They're also doing an episode based on the film Boyhood. It's kind of a montage about Bart. In the flashbacks they go back to different points in Bart's life, and Jean said he was super happy with how it came out.

Of Course, with the elections coming up, no political party will be safe from the long running T.V. Show. According to Jean, Homer is definitely going to vote in 2016. Jean said that one of the reasons he was so happy the show got picked up for 2016, is so that Homer can vote again. He voted for Romney in 2012 because he invented Obamacare. He tried to vote for Obama in 2008, but all his votes went to McCain. Jean says he's not sure who the candidates are yet, but whatever he wants it's not going to happen.

Well, who doesn't love them some Spider Pig? As for Lena Dunham, You keep your homewrecking butt in your own T.V. Show. Let's get Homer some Ambien and call it a day!

The Simpsons, Season 27 will premier This fall. The show was awarded the Guinness Book Of World Records title for for "Most Guest Stars Featured in a TV Series" on May 23, 2010, with Guinness estimating that the show has featured "at least 555 as of series 21."

Do you feel Lena Dunham is a good choice for the show?
