OK, Let's Get To It

We love them, we wait for them... Hell, in this day and age, some people even need them...

Let’s talk movies?

Movies are great, I love movies, and I love trying to find the meaning behind them... Makes me feel smart or something like that... Remember Babadook? It had a great story to tell... A mum dealing with the death of her husband... she is full of grief, and ultimately allowing this to mess her relationship with her son...., :) yea... And just before you start telling me that I’m wrong... That's just my take... Ok? Ok buddy?!... Ok, now that we are on the same page lets continue...

Movies are supposed to entertain us, teach us and even challenge us on the subject being addressed... Agree? Good, let's continue...

Some movies are good, some average and others downright horrible....the Room is one of the movies that had been labeled as one of the worst movies of all time... That movie has its place in the world of films... It has definitely made its mark alongside others like Birdemic and Birdemic 2. Personally, I couldn't stop laughing at how bad almost all scenes were in these movies...so should I conclude that I was entertained? Uh, I don't know... To some extent it made me feel bad for the actors and creators... How did they make you feel? Confused huh? I bet...

There have been very good movies that tend to be overlooked... In my opinion, "only god forgives" and even "the watchmen" are some good examples.... Again, before you tell me am crazy, that's just my personal opinion... Ok? Good... Let's proceed...

Other movies are simply bad... Just bad... An example? That one Transformers movie...You remember it, don’t you? But didn’t stop it from making hundreds of millions... Did it? I guess not...another one? Gods of Egypt... I have to say, I had been to see butler in some new crazy action...and when I heard that he was going to feature in a movie titled gods of Egypt, I was super exited... Yes, I’m one of those who loved the movie 300... A whole lot...

So what is it exactly that I’m getting at? Well, here is the thing... I agree that one of the goals of production companies, directors, actors etc is to make money and lots of money at that, but do they have to give us crap in the process?

Seriously? Why on earth do they have to remake Ben-Hur? Why? Someone? Explain that to me please? Was it really necessary?

They really can't be running out of material to work on... That's just not possible. There are way too many writers, stories and even biographies they can work on. Personally, I would love to see a movie based on the book "dead souls"... You know? That Russian novel on some guy named Chichikov? No? You haven't come across it? Ugh, never mind... It was written in the 19th century, 1842 to be exact :)

Anyways... I always find myself wondering... Do they give us crappy movies because we have gotten used to them, and even accepted them? Could that really be the reason? Nope! I don't think so, we haven't gotten used to them... Today more than ever we are actually pointing out sh*t when we see it. Don't believe me? Ok, take a trip to the world of YouTube and while there, visit some channels that review movies... Well go on... Just for about an hour or so...

Well? What did you find out? I bet one or two of them changed your mind about a favorite movie of yours... :)

You see? We don't just want to sit there and watch something just because it has been put in screen... We want the good stuff... Something that will stick in our minds and even draw us to re-watch. Why not make hundreds of millions and give us great movies? It’s not like it’s impossible...

Last words?

Dear production companies... Or Hollywood? Or whoever funds movies... (I don't really know, the process of it all), just saying: Stop wasting money funding sh*tty movies... Put some of that cash in to worthy projects and ideas and make movies great again... Yes? Oh, finally, at least we agree on that :)

Just a Silly Clip

They can make Great Movies

Sure, Money has to be made, Millions of it, but why not make millions, even over a billion with a good if not a great movie? they are being made, and we see them from time to time. Personally, I love movie reviews on Youtube by such individuals as Chris Stuckmann. I only hope their views are considered in Hollywood, and we will see less shitty movies with time,
