The author published two political newspapers, predicted Trump's victory in July 2016, and a recent article on many of Trump's achievements.

The time for voting will come....

The Man Named Trump

There now comes a man named Trump

out there on the political stump.

His views he makes known to the crowd.

Their reactions are mixed and quite loud,

drowning out the folks shouting "Chump!"

Now strutting his political stuff,

with retorts sometimes quite gruff,

he's hitting his stride,

and known far and wide,

with bodyguards now quite enough.

Who knows how he'll fare,

but the numbers are there,

that put him right at the top,

with no sign he's likely to stop.

while attacking him some do not dare.

He's learning to smile,

behind which his guile

is clever as ever.

So yielding never,

he looks to be 'round for awhile.

There are flavors in politics, too.

Oh, and it is definitely time to look at this one again. Check out the comment from Doris James MizBejabbers! The very first comment on this series of limericks. The other comments are well worth reading again, too.

FlourishAnyway - Mr. Trump is likely to make a lot of individuals and corporations mad after January 2017, if he is elected. And taking the good with the bad, it might not work out unfavorably for the many at the expense of the few.

aviannovice - Think of the times when you may have had to, and look hard to see what good may have come from it. The outcome of those times could surprise you on closer examination. Tell me, if it isn't so.

I can picture Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, and Kasich, even Rubio, pooling their delegate votes behind one of themselves to defeat Trump in the Republican Convention.

If that should happen, I can picture an angry Trump breaking his promise to support the winner, and running as an Independent.

If a Democrat, such as James Webb, also runs as an Independent. I doubt the fireworks would stop until all the votes are counted, hanging chads and all!

You describe a serious situation, here Demas. Maybe, he'll be around for a while but not long enough.

Just great Demas, I like it a whole lot. Maybe that old Jobs concept of thinking outside the box is worthy of a new look. I know it came from lateral thinking by Edward De Bono. psychological, and was an avionics notion also. So maybe it is time for a run with it in politics.

There is a possible announcement today that Democrat James Webb may mount a bid for the presidency as an independent, making it even more possible that the Republican nominee could win.

Interesting campaign results in the election of Trudeau to lead Canada forward.

You've summed it up pretty well, Demas. Unless the GOP pulls some kind of coup, he is bound to be their nominee. Now if Joe Biden enters the race and dilutes the Democrats, he may assure a Trump win. (Don't get me wrong, I like Joe Biden, but I don't think he needs to run right now.)
