Limitless Movie Review

I finally had the chance to check out Limitless this weekend and you should do the same. Rotten Tomatoes doesn't give this movie a great review but I've got to recommend it. Director Neil Burger combines elements of thrillers, Sci-Fi, action, chase, crime and drugs to create something unique, which seems hard to come by these days.

Maybe the thing I liked most was the cool style of the movie. It seems like the people making the movie knew they were doing something cool, not to be confused with people thinking that what they were doing was cool when it really wasn't. It had been a long time since I saw a movie with its own style.
Limitless finds a balance by giving you the fast-paced action / thriller genre with the character development of a drama. The story is complimented by great cinematography.

Limitless is the story of a writer, Eddie Morra, with creative problems. Commissioned to write a book but unable to put anything on paper, his life wasn't going too well. That is, until he met an old friend who gives him a pill which allows him to use the full power of his brain. While on the drug Eddie manages to finish his entire book in four days. Everything is going great and then suddenly he's being followed, people are trying to kill him, and Robert De Niro is offering him the opportunity of a lifetime. Eddie Morra has got to balance all of these events while trying to maintain the failing relationship with his longtime girlfriend.

In the recent wave of new releases there are a lot of choices, while this isn't the best movie ever made I don't regret the time I spent watching this movie.

This year has been a pretty a surprisingly good year for movies. I say surprisingly because the movies I've been looking forward to have disappointed me but some movies, like Hall Pass, Red Riding Hood, Limitless, and Rango have been pretty good. Also, if we're talking all time favoritets you've probably seen a lot of these but I'll name them anyway - Star Wars (I love it), Snatch, Batman (begins and dark knight), Fight Club, four lions, step up (Don't tell my friends I recommended that, but it was pretty good)one flew over the cookoo's nest, true romance just to name a few.

haha, awkward. I love that reviews online are done by real people because professional critics don't seem to have the same tastes as I do. You know though, bad movies can lead to the best conversations. Take "Cabin Fever" for example, My favorite movie of all time but not because it was well made with a great story and cutting dialogue. No, it's my fave for its overabundance of gore and because it's completely outrageous at points yet incredibly entertaining all the way though.

Well written review for movies. I only wished you could read movie reviews when I was dating. I hate it when you get a date and you run out to get a movie. The advertisements make the movie sound so good. You sit their next to your date then suddenly feel so embarrassed because the movie sucked.
