The Japanese Anime series such as Pokémon, Digimon, Bleach, Full metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and many more have already won many hearts and received more than 90% positive response in the previous years, but this is not all. In 2016, the Japanese anime have continued their popularity with other latest series such as One Punch Man, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 and many more that are discussed below:

1. One Punch Man

One Punch Man is a story of the strongest superhero named Saitama. He is so powerful that he can defeat his enemies, monsters and other villains using a single punch. Bored of his extraordinary powers, he is trying to find stronger competitors that can match his level and challenge him. As the series progresses, he is shown making new friends, meeting other heroes and defeating many villains. He later joins the Heroes Association to gain official recognition, but when he unable to defeat the top members of the association, he struggles to gain respect there. There are only a few persons who recognize his capabilities and respect him.

2. One Piece

When he is on the verge of dying, the King of the Pirates named Gol D. Roger announces that whosoever finds his treasure One Piece, it will belong to that person forever. Hearing this, several pirates set out on the journey of finding the treasure. It has been twenty two years now and none of the pirates are able to find the One Piece. Now, the protagonist of the series enters named Monkey D. Luffy, who is a young man with rubber properties that he gained after eating a Devil fruit unknowingly. He is confident that he will find the One Piece and proclaim himself as the King of the Pirates. To begin his journey, he sets out to the East Blue Sea.

3. Pokémon

Ash, a Pokémon Trainer, is on his journey to catch all the Pokémon and become the master. He is accompanied with his best friends including Pikachu, who is also a Pokémon. While he visits places to places, many hurdles come his way which he needs to pass to move ahead. There is a group of villain named the Team Rocket, who repeatedly stops his way to steal all his Pokémon, but never achieves success. Pokémon has been an on-going Japanese anime series since 1997 and has gained huge popularity worldwide. Do not forget to check out the Top 10 Average Pokémon movies.

4. Naruto: Shippuden

Naruto is an adolescent ninja from the Konoha community. He is travelling from place to place in constant search for recognition, respect and to fulfill his dream of becoming a Hokage. Hokage is described as the most powerful ninja who is considered as a leader and the strongest of all. On his journey to become a Hokage, he has to fight other powerful ninjas and villains, some of whom even tried to invade his village. Naruto is portrayed as a confident and rambunctious boy who has great determination to save his friends and home from the attacks of the rogue ninja organization named Akatsuki.

5. Psycho-Pass

Psycho Pass is a story of an inspector named Akane Tsunemori, who is hunting criminals with a special team called as Enforcers. Her team includes Nobuchika Ginoza, a veteran inspector, Tomomi Masaoka, a detective and two other individuals who are from the team of Enforcers. Their aim is to arrest Shogo Makishima who is the mastermind behind most of the crimes. After arresting Shogo in season one, Akane is made the new leader of her team and their new aim is similar to the old one, in which they have to hunt another mastermind who is almost like Shogo.

6. Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

During the industrial revolution, an unknown virus starts to infect humans and turns them into Kabane, where Kabane are undead creatures like zombies and are totally aggressive. It is impossible to defeat them unless they are pierced by the glowing heart. Unfortunately, other weapons including guns could not affect or injure them even a bit. One day, an engineer named Ikoma experiments on making an anti-Kabane weapon, but he gets infected in the process. Though impossible, he is able to prevent the virus from flowing in his entire body and becomes a human-Kabane hybrid.

7. Love Live! School Idol Project

In extreme love for her school named Otonokizaka Academy, Honoka Kosaka, a girl, tries every possibility to prevent her school from closing down. The reason for closing down of her school is the lack of applicants. Honoka, with her full determination, starts a school idol group with her friends to attract new pupils and she finally gets success. After re-opening of the school, she participates in Love Live, where best groups are featured throughout the country. Even after winning the competition, Honoka and her groups disband due to personal reasons.

8. Dragon Ball Super

Dragon Ball Super is a sequel to Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. It depicts the story of the time, when the villain Majin Boo is defeated and Earth is restored to peace once again. Son Goku is shown working as a farmer in his hometown to support his family. Though his family and friends are now living happy lives, but tragedy returns, when a new problem in the form of Beerus appears in front of them. Beerus is said to be The God of Destruction and the most horrifying creature in the entire universe. He wants to defeat the legendary warrior named the Super Saiyan God.

9. Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team

The series revolves around the forests of Southeast Asia. Two opposing teams named The Earth Federation and The Principality of Zeon are going through a brutal guerrilla war to rule the area. While Zeon is confident of their win over The Earth Federation because of their experimental mobile armor named Aina Sahalin, The Earth Federation has received a huge power in the form of their new commander named Shiro Amada. He is the lead of the 08th MS Team, whom he needs take with him to the inside of the Zeon territory and find their hidden base. Twists in the story come when it is found that Aina and Shiro know each other and are in love.

10. Is this a Zombie?

The protagonist of the series is a zombie named Ayumu Aikawa, who was resurrected by a witch, Eucliwood Hellscythe. As he is living his zombie life, he confronts a magical girl named Haruna. Without any real intentions, Ayumu happens to inherit her powers that force him to become a Masō-Shōjo (meaning magical girl). Currently, he lives with the witch, Eucliwood, Haruna and Seraphim, who is a vampire ninja. Along with them, Ayumu fights with demons and is trying to figure out the story behind his death. The demons are also called Megalos. The series is also known as Korezom in short.

      Ahhhh. Naruto and One Piece continue to dominate! Hmm!

      I loved Psycho Pass too. I considered one of the best and most sophisticated Anime I watched to date.
