Rocking, Rolling and Jamming with Traxx9 Band
R&B, Smooth Jazz, sumptuous Oldies and pure Funk, were the arsenal of Traxx9 Band's musical forte. This band has internal instincts to know and appreciate what type of music their audiences want to hear. Major hits such as Before I Let Go by Frankie Beverly & Maze which was performed by the extremely talent male lead vocalist Larry Snow, better known as "Mister." Rock Steady by the #multi-talented #Aretha Franklin, was performed by the very talented female lead vocalist, Renee "Sunshine" Samuels. The vocalists of Traxx9 were outstandingly backed up with a variety of harmonious sounds based on such tunes as #Erykah Badu's songs entitled, Other Side of the Game and Tyrone. Bobby Womack's, A Woman Gotta To Have It which deals with a woman needing her man's love, was performed for lovers in the audience.
Traxx9's music inspired #true love between husbands and wives as they got up and danced together during the performance. Couples blissfully danced such as Tryrone and Janessa McManus, who have been married for more than twenty years. Pednika and Wayne, a couple from Delaware that have been married for numerous years as well. Sandra and Joseph Randolph, have been married for more than five years, enjoyed the funky, jazz and R&B as well. A tremendously talented dancer by the name of Hashim Wilson, was inspired to #dance to the point of receiving a red cape as James Brown, received during his performances. Hashim's, mother Myromma Wilson, commented that during her son's birth, "He danced right out of me to the point that they had to catch him when he was born." Traxx9 Band's music was inspirational and loved as audience members listened and danced to the sounds of this astonishing and multi-talented group.

A History of Traxx9's R&B, Smooth Jazz and Funky Music
On the beautifully orchestrated website of Traxx9 Band this statement was made; "Traxx9 is a Funky, R&B, Smooth Jazz cover band on a mission to educate and reeducate its audience with good sounding music played by artistic musicians playing real instruments." The genuine sound of their music pulsated as the audience members swooned and danced.
Information was also shared on Traxx9.com concerning their origin which stated, "This is a Delaware based group of talented #musicians assembled from all walks of life. Their song repertoire ranges from new school #R&B, old school Funk/R&B and Smooth Jazz and because the band has several song writers they do perform original songs as well."
Their resume went on to acknowledge: "The heart of the band lies in a solid rhythm section, which consists of a backbeat that won't quit, led by a sophisticated #drummer and slap, pop, finger, #funky bass player. The two of them together put pure funk and groove into the mix. The Saxophone player is the group's secret weapon. His sexy sound always capture the audience. The group's funky Percussionist rides the Rhythm."
Powerful descriptions were also featured about, "The Keyboard player and Guitar player jam on the upper half of the spectrum. They can play anything, even each other's parts [and sometimes do]. Their talent is incredible." Watching these talented artist perform gives their listeners a tremendous source of appreciation for outstanding music.
In conclusion Traxx9's website mentioned, "The icing on the cake is the band's very talented vocalists that make it all happen. They command the stage by electrifying the audience with their soulful sound and comedian like sense of humor. Truth is told that the vocalists in this band have no trouble getting large crowds to move from bobbing their heads in their seats to shaking their backsides out on the dance floor."

The Multi-Talented Band Members of Traxx9
Bill Mitchell "Kooch" Plays such instruments as the Electric Guitar, Bass, Acoustic and Percussions, He resides in Wilmington, DE. Bill's musical background featured on Traxx9's website stated that he is, ". . .an accomplished self-taught musician. Bill, has been playing music since 1970 and has played in musicals and stage plays as well as live sessions recordings and cover bands. Bill's favorite musical styles, are funk, Smooth Jazz and fusion gospel."
Kevin "Tass" Yarbray, plays Keyboards for Traxx9 Band. During an interview Kevin stated, "I started in the early seventies. I took a few lessons of Classical but I wanted to jam so I play by ear and read music. . . I still like to make original music. I'm very serious but I'm having fun!"
Teddy Robinson, is Traxx9's outstanding Electric and Fretless Bass player. He resides in Bear, DE with his wife Dawn. Teddy's Musical Background as described during an interview from the band's website stated: "Former owner of Reminisce Recording Studio. Ted is an accomplished self-taught bass player from a long line of family musicians. He has performed for over 20 years as both a live cover band musician and a session recording musician; Including many appearances as a live musician for various stage plays. Teddy's love is for old school Funk, R&B, Contemporary Jazz and Contemporary Gospel." Teddy, is influenced by such performers as Stanley Clark, Gerald Veasley and such groups as Earth, Wind & Fire and Frankie Beverly and Maze.
Jerry Blake, is Traxx9 Band's Saxophone, Flute and vocalists. "Jerry, was born in Albany, GA. He started playing the sax at a very early age. Jerry has opened shows for Luther Vandross, The Temptations, Regina Belle, #Natalie Cole and numerous others. He has been on several world tours with groups such as the Manhattans." Jerry, is described on the band's website as, "their secret weapon."
Rene "Sunshine" Samuels, is lead female vocalist for Traxx9 Band. She resides in the City of Chester, PA. In an interview from Traxx9's website Rene mentioned, "I worked for Black Cat Productions as a songwriter, producer, engineer under DJ "E" Calloway and Sean Skipp Waller. My mother taught me to sing and to listen between notes for perfect harmonies. When she passed away a light went out inside of me and I stopped singing. But my son Angel aka AJ was the sunshine that motivated me to sing again." Rene, is multi-talented and can perform songs of top female entertainers such as Aretha Franklin and Erika Badu.
Larry Snow better known as "Mister." During an interview from Traxx9's website, "Larry's career began in church singing and playing instruments. He entered several R&B talent shows and began to make a name for himself. Larry, had the honor of sharing the stage with artist Gerald Levert, Aaron Hall, Rude Boys and Kool & The Gang. Larry, has two gospel albums under his belt. Today he is still recording music and performing around the Tri-State area." Larry's sexy voice compels couples to love and enjoy their time together as they listen to his powerful vocals.
Alvis (Pop) Booker, is Percussionist and Drummer for Traxx9. He resides in Bear, DE. Alvis' musical background was discussed during an interview from the website which stated, "My career began at an early age when I started playing pots and pans in my mother's kitchen. She saw my love for the drums and registered me in a music school in Brookhaven, PA. I took music classes for several months and then my mother brought me my first drum set. . .In 2014 I became a member of the band Traxx9 as a percussionist. I enjoy playing soul, R&B, Funk and Smooth Jazz. My love for music developed over the last twenty-five years through music lessons, church and school."
Kenneth (DJ "E") Calloway, is Drummer and Disc Jockey for Traxx9 Band. During an interview from their website Kenneth's musical experience is, "Music Producer, Engineer, a man of many talents. Kenneth (DJ "E") Calloway, was born in Georgia. He later moved to Aliquippa, Pa where he found a talent for playing the drums at age of 10. DJ "E" finally settled in Chester, Pa with his family where he is still one of Tri-States' well known DJs. DJ "E" is also a self-taught music producer and engineer. He worked with Black Cat Productions and Nazca Media for the past 25 years. Blessed by the best, this jack of all trades humbly picks up the sticks 25 years later without missing a beat!"
