M.I.A. Baby Name Ickitt? - What Did M.I.A. Name Her Baby?

It was incorrectly reported in the media Friday, March 6, 2009 that M.I.A. named her baby "Ickitt".

M.I.A. herself refutes the unusual name choice in a blog post "Baby name!" on her MySpace page...

My baby is not called Ickitt, Pickit or Lickit thank you very much to all the Hollywood press. He's a baby, he don't need press! I didn't release the baby name because I didn't think it was news!!!! But I will be back with something newsworthy soon, till then go pick on Apple, Satchel and Moon Unit. Lots of love stickit!!

M.I.A. & Tamil Tigers - Genocide in Sri Lanka

One of the reasons M.I.A. said she was willing to perform 9 months pregnant in her attention grabbing performance at the Grammy's was to put the spotlight on the "genocide in Sri Lanka". But there is quite a bit of controversy on M.I.A.'s stance.

Attached is a link from a recent NY Times article as well as a couple of headlines about this issue that M.I.A. uploaded on her MySpace page on Friday, February 27, 2009 under the title MORE INFO U MIGHT NOT BE GETTIG!"

When M.I.A.'s Baby Comes Out Singing - What Will Be Its First Notes?

MIA's kid was there in effect swaggering on the Grammy's and can't help but be affected by the performances. In fact, M.I.A. began early stage contractions 2 am the next morning. So if the kid had to choose between both songs, which would be its favorite?

Piers Morgan & Chelsea Lately Dish on Madonna's Superbowl Performance

I loved the whole Roman spectacle of it all with gladiators and Roman foot soldiers with Madonna as Cleopatra but I feel bad for the ever so talented M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj who were dragged into that hot mess of a song, video and Super Bowl performance. Madonna's latest song "Give Me All Your Luvin'" was unfortunately the weakest part of the performance.
