I have designed my style pantomimes as white ink drawings on black backgrounds, so that man's destiny appears as a thread lost in an endless labyrinth. I have tried to shed some gleams of light on the shadow of man startled by his anguish.

Marcel appeared, in a cameo role, in Mel Brooks' "Silent Movie." Marcel, humorously was the only one who spoke in the entire film.

In the movie Marcel is asked, on the telephone, "If he would like to be part of a Silent Movie?"

Marcel responds with, "No!" and hangs up pomptly.
