Bat Out Of Hell by MEATLOAF
My Most Played Song From The Bat Out Of Hell Album by Meatloaf Has To Be Paradise By The Dashboard Light
In this lens I shall be telling you about the playlist of my most favourite music album ever which is Bat Out OF Hell by Meatloaf, and more to the point my favourite track from the album which is Paradise by the dashboard light.
Since hearing the album for the first time at a friends house when I was thirteen it grabbed a hold of me and has never let go. The album which I have now is my 3rd copy...the first being an L.P version, and can often be heard outside in the street as I blast it from my stereo. (check out my web-page http://www.squidoo.com/my-music-system)...a comical lens written to make you chuckle over.
Not only can the album itself be heard by neighbours and folk walking by, but my own voice must also be audible to all those in the same vicinity because of course, as other fans of Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell album will surely tell you, it is absolutely vital that the volume MUST be turned up as loud as the stereo goes ..and just HAS to be sung along with.
One of the great things about Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell album is that it comes with not only a playlist but also a lyrics list to each and every song so everyone who has this album also knows all of the words..something which my kids will vouch because many a time they have come home and told me that I could be heard down at the corner end of our street...lol.
Luckily for me I have great next-door neighbours who never or never have knocked to complain about the noise coming from my bedroom...and if they had I couldn't possibly have heard them knocking anyhow.
I don't have an absolute favourite track from the album as every song is brilliant but I do seem to play the song called "Paradise by the dashboard light" more than the rest of the album, indeed my known song which I usually sing on karaoke is "Paradise by the dashboard light"...albeit a terrible rendition I always get a huge round of applause, although I'm uncertain as to whether the applause comes for my singing or for the sheer fact that I've stopped...lol..oh happy days.
In the following sections of this lens I will tell you a little more about the album itself and those amongst you that have not yet got their own copy of the album MUST go and buy one and I'm sure, like myself and thousand of others before us that you will soon be hooked and indeed be heard singing along by passers by down at he end of your road.

The 6th track on the album is "Paradise by the dashboard light" which is a duet sung by Meatloaf & Ellen folley.
It tells the story of teenage sex & romance where the guy drives to a secluded spot where he hopes to have sex with his girlfriend but she stops him at the crucial point & asks him if he loves her & will he "love her forever", he then swears that he'll "love her till the end of time".
The song then goes on untill the guy is "praying for the end of time" saying if he's "gotta spend another minute with you I don't think that i can ever survive".
The song writer Jim Steinman describes it as being "the ultimate car sex song" whereas co-singer Ellen Foley says "it epitomises the album's pre-pubescent sexual mentality.
