As soon as the announcement went out, Prime Minister Theresa May congratulated the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the happy news. She wished them the best.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby sent his congratulation five months after marrying the couple in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle while the world watched. After expressing his joy and congratulating the couple, he said prayers are for them in the months ahead.
Harry and Meghan are currently in Sydney, Australia where they have many official duties scheduled, including Harry's involvement in the Invictus Games. They will travel to Fiji, Tonga and end their tour in New Zealand on October 31.
It was thought earlier that Meghan would wait until after the tour was over before getting pregnant because of the risk of Zika infection in Fiji and Tonga, according to the CDC.
Even though the mosquito-borne Zika virus is dangerous, the tour schedule will not change from its original plan. However, the couple has been advised by doctors and is taking all precautions to have a healthy baby that will be seventh in line to the throne of England whether it will be a boy or girl.
