Who is Meisa Kuroki?

Meisa Kuroki is a Japanese celebrity that I have known for a while. She is one of those Japanese that is not full Japanese just like Tina Yuzuki. According to imdb.com, Meisa is Panamanian from her father’s side (half) and her mother is Japanese. Whatever her background is Meisa Kuroki is one of those celebrities that will leave you wanting to find out more. This beautiful Japanese actress was born on May 28, 1988 in Okinawa. An interesting fact is that her birthday was on a Saturday at that time. Her zodiac sign is Gemini and she is listed as 165 centimeters tall. She has the type A blood type.

How did Meisa Kuroki get started in music?

Meisa Kuroki used to perform in a Japanese female group known as BB Waves. She stands at five feet and five inches tall. Her zodiac sign is Gemini. Her birth name was Satsuki Shimabukuro. She has three older sisters, a mother and father. Her blood type is A. Meisa Kuroki’s music career began when she sang the digital version of the song “Like This”. That song is being used for Toshiba’s Sportio/W62T commercials. Meisa Kuroki is one of those very diverse celebrities because she has worked in three different areas of the entertainment business. These areas are music, acting, and fashion modeling.

Meisa and her close relationship with actress Maki Horikita

She was educated at Okinawa Actors School. She is close friends with Maki Horikita who is also signed to the Sweet Power Talent Agency. They did a photo book together that was titled “mismatch.” She said in an interview that among people her own age, Maki is the only one that she feels comfortable talking to about work and personal issues.

Meisa Kuroki: her personal life, pregnancy, and birth of her daughter

Meisa’s favorite food is tako rice. Her favorite sport is basketball. She is also skilled at dancing and sword fighting. As of February 2, 2012, she is now married to Jin Akanishi, a Japanese pop music singer. She was supposed to appear at an event for her fans on March 4, 2012 to promote her second album Unlocked. When the announcement was made, there was no reference to her pregnancy.

And guess what guys? Meisa Kuroki did eventually reveal that she was pregnant. It was not until April 15th 2012 that the singer announced that she is four months pregnant. Kuroki finally broke her silence about the pregnancy stating that:

After I became pregnant, I was frequently in bad health. It was my first time experiencing this, so I was a little uneasy.

She explained that she was advised by her doctors to wait until her body was more stable before she announced the news. Kuroki was scheduled to star in a play called Miyazawa Kenji ga Tsutaeru Koto at Setagaya Public Theater on May 12-13. After the conclusion of the play, Kuroki said that she would go on maternity leave and return to work shortly after the birth of her child. I wish Meisa Kuroki the very best and congratulate her on this exciting event in her life.

At a press conference on May 30th, 2012 Kuroki was seen with her stomach sticking out! Showing her pregnant figure, she announced that she will be playing in a drama called Yae No Sakura. In the drama, Kuroki would co-star with Japanese actress Haruka Ayase. The filming of the drama started in the summer of 2012 but Kuroki would not join the cast until she had given birth. This move was being made at the time to avoid any complications that may have delayed the filming of this drama. Yae No Sakura was expected to be officially released in January 2013. It is a 50 episode drama that was expected to last the whole year.

On September 23, 2012, Kuroki gave birth to a girl.
