Michael Baez Miami - "chop"

Michael Baez was originally born Bronx, New York on June 15 1970. At any early age he was involved in the typical New York actives. With no advanced technology as there is today, Mike was into the exemplary male things such as cars, music, biked and girls. Around the age of 8, he participated in gymnasts at his school. He was the top gymnast in the school and was always told he should pursue it as a career. Fast forward 20 years later, his gymnast moves helped him a lot when he began taking Jiu jitsu classes at Valente Brothers Gracie Jiu jitsu in Miami. With help from his teachers, dedication and constant training Mike is now at top level of jiu jitsu. As he got older, Mike become recognized for being the crazy BMX rider in his neighborhood. He was the only one in the town to pop wheelies, and other tricks; he even got the New York sanitation build out a custom ramp for him with dirt so he can practice his tricks. Although he loved gymnastics, Mikes true passion was BMX riding, that was his original planned career.

Throughout his teenage years Michael got involved in cars. His love for BMX turned in to his love for cars. He would spend hours on taking them apart and adding his own details. Ridding Choppers was what he was known for – that is where he got his nickname that everyone calls him by today “Chop”. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s in the Bronx he was exposed to every car you can think of since drugs were a big epidemic during that era. Of course growing up in the Bronx, he was neighbors with some of the hottest celebrities today. Joseph Antonio Cartagena, better known to the public as “Fat Joe” was a good friend of Mike and Eif Rivera- Michaels partner of his production company “Chopped up Productions”. Fat Joe was actually the first person to give Mike and Eif their first video to shoot.

In 2010 Michael Baez and his partner Eif Riviera decided to start their own production company. Eif always had an interest in videography and Mike also had a creative eye. One day Eif and Mike decided to buy equipment to play around with. Being friends for almost 20 years –they had the idea to start an in-house production company just the two of them. Wanting to keep their circle tight and work with friends they grew up with like fat joe, they started small and were a big hit. From then on the videos kept coming in, Chopped up Productions has produced some of the biggest videos to date such as “Figure it out” French Montanna. Kanye West & Nas, “I’m the man”- 50 Cent Ft Chris Brown, “Don’t Mind” - Kent Jones ft DJ Khaled, not to mention 2016 Best Hip Hop Video nominee “All the Way up” – Fat Joe, Remy Ma Feat French Montana. In 2014, Michael decided to step out of behind the camera and tested out his skills in front of it taking on a role in the highly rated VH1 Show “Mob Wives”. His cameo role as “Delicious”, playing Renee Graziano’s love interest topped the charts that year. He also appeared in the “I Got it” video for Ashanti has her bad boy – eye candy.

Michael Baez is well known in the music industry for all that he does behind the scenes, however many people do not know the other Entrepreneur Michael Baez. Currently he is working on a Movie and TV series centered around the drug epidemic in New York during the1980s & 1990s. In the fall of 2016 – his partnership in a new high tech and luxury 6,000 square foot Medical Spa in Miami will be open to the public. The medical spa will offer Cyro therapy, IV, Botox, Aging regiments, cool sculpting working with Miami’s top rate and well known doctors for high end cliental. Michael also dabbed in to the restaurant world, becoming an investor in several restaurant projects in Miami. Currently working with his good friend Chef Bee who is most known for "Nai-Ya-Ra" in sunset Harbour and "Oshi Thai Sushi" in North Miami Beach. Last but not least Michael Baez launched the biggest deal he would have ever foreseen. Early in 2016, Michael and a partner closed almost a 20-million-dollar deal. The basis of the company relays on a patient- hospital relationship with a few of the major hospitals from west to the east coast. Providing patients with the ability to receive testing in a hospital setting rather than going to a specialty doctor or out-patient care. The testing will include toxicology, blood tests, internal medicine cardiology special testing for things such as– allergens heavy metals, pathology, biopsy, and genetic testing for cancer.

To many friends and family Michael “Chop” Baez is a role model, a great companion and a loyal hard working man. His next venture is to become involved in charity work. With all of his accomplishments in life, Mike believes his greatest accomplishment is being a father. He wants to reach out to people, to young adults who did not have the best education and show them anything is possible, nothing is unattainable.
