Halloween Films

1. Halloween (1978): In the first film, Michael kills his sister and goes to a mental asylum. He escapes and returns to his home to finish his family. He is shot several times at the end of the film by Dr. Loomis, Michael's psychiatrist. The gun shots do not faze him and he disappears. Jaime Lee Curtis plays as Michael's surviving sister.

The music itself is even creepy for this scary movie. The movie was written and directed by John Carpenter, who also made the music for the horror film.

I would give this film an A ranking.

2. Halloween 2 (1981): In the sequel, Dr. Loomis who shot Myers in the first film, blows up a room with Michael Myers and himself. Myers, who goes on a killing spree, ends up at the hospital chasing his sister and gets burned to death. Loomis also suffers burns as well from the incident. The movie starts right where the first one left off and I mean the exact moment where the first one ended, the second one began.

There are lots of gruesome kills in this movie as well.

I would give this film an A ranking.

3. Halloween 3 Season of The Witch (1982): In this movie, Myers oddly makes no appearance but, instead the film focuses on a store owner with a mysterious Jack O' Lantern. To me, the film is not nearly written as well as the first two movies.

I unfortunately, would give this film a F ranking.

4. Halloween 4 The Return of Michael Myers (1988): Myers is in a coma from the explosion in part 2 but, he awakens to go back to Haddonfield, Illinois to kill his niece but, he is in for a surprise when the townspeople rally against him. Myers slashes as usual but, he finally gets cornered and shot by rifles and finally they blow him down a pit in the ground with dynamite.

I would give this film a B+ ranking.

5. Halloween 5 The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989): In this one, Myers is nursed back to good health by a bum who lives underground where Myers was blown to on a previous movie. Myers wreaks havoc on Haddonfield once again while trying to kill his niece who now has become a mute with issues. Myers finally gets tranquilized by Loomis and is locked up in a holding jail cell.

I would give this film a B ranking.

6. Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995): The curse goes on to explain the mentality of Myers and what made him the way he is. This one was sad because, the actor that played Dr. Loomis died in real life near the end of the making of the film. After Myers slashes through doctors at the ward and other townspeople he finally gets beat with a pipe from one of the people he terrorized.

I would give this film an A ranking.

7. Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later (1998): Myers finally tracks down his sister from Halloween 1 and 2 and pursues her and her son. In the end Michael's sister cuts his head clean off or does she? There is a twist in this movie at the end, you must watch to see.

It was nice to see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis and the addition of L.L. Cool J.

I would give this film an A ranking.

8. Halloween: Resurrection (2002): Myers finally gets his sister and stabs her to death. When Myers returns to his home he finds an internet reality show going on. In the end, Busta Rhymes actually catches Myers in a chain and gets him electrocuted.

I would give this film a B ranking.

9. Halloween Unrated (2007): In this movie, Rob Zombie takes Halloween to a new level with this film, in my opinion. The remake is brutal to say the very least. Myers childhood life is documented much longer in this version. He is bigger and he shows no remorse when he attacks.

The kills are brutal in this movie as well, and in the end he gets shot in the head.

I would give this film a A ranking.

10. Halloween 2 Unrated (2009): Rob Zombie uses his own killer sound track in this film. Myers is on foot and it shows some of his thoughts and also his sister's problems rise to the surface. In my mind, this is the best of them all. Myers kills Dr. Loomis and then the Sheriff shoots Michael who falls on large trailer spikes.

I would give this film a B+ ranking.

Please let me know which Halloween movie is your favorite and why by leaving your opinion in the comments box located at the bottom of this article.

If you are a fan of scary movies, then this series is a great one to watch. The kills are brutal in each one of the movies.

Dr. Loomis

Dr. Loomis played a major role in most of the Halloween movies and he was the doctor of Michael Myers as he grew up in a mental institution. The character that played Dr. Loomis in Halloween 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 died during the making of Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. At the end of part 6, they had a screaming voice of Dr. Loomis making it appear that Michael killed him and alas, Loomis was not in H2o or Halloween Resurrection.

He was however a staple of the Halloween films. Great acting job.
