Morgan Fairchild: Classic Beauty with Timeless Style

Updated on March 17, 2012

When Patsy Ann McClenny was born on February 3, 1950, no one could have predicted she would grow up to become one of the most beautiful, talented and sensuously glamorous actresses of all time. But by the time Patsy Ann adopted the name Morgan Fairchild, people were probably beginning to suspect what was to come. Morgan had the looks and charm needed to play characters from the seductive to the classy. She would soon be a fan favorite who would build a loyal following that is still with her today.

Morgan began acting in the late 1960s but did not gain her first credited role until 1973 when she began appearing on the soap opera Search for Tomorrow playing vampy Jennifer Pace. Fans of the show loved Morgan though for some it was admittedly a love-hate relationship. But playing the girl many enjoyed desipising was only the beginning for the stunning thespian. Though she was perfectly suited for the role, she only played the part until 1977 before moving on to bigger things.

Morgan became a familiar face on television with guest starring roles on shows such as Barnaby Jones, The Love Boat, Happy Days, Police Woman, Simon & Simon, Dallas and Magnum, P.I. She had a recurring guest starring role on Mork & Mindy as Mindy's nemesis Susan Taylor. She also starred in series such as Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road and Falcon Crest. Over the years she became more popular and soon became a favorite model for posters and pin-ups.

Throughout the years, when many actresses' popularity waned as they aged, Morgan has proven to be a timeless beauty, maintaining a dedicated following among those who recognize her unique elegance. The years simply do not seem to have the ability to take away any of her sensuous allure. She truly becomes more beautiful with each passing decade, now into her 60s yet turning the heads of young men everywhere. Is it her soft blue eyes or maybe her golden blond hair? More likely it is the perfect combination of these traits and more!

If you think Morgan Fairchild is just another pretty face and sexy body, however, you could not be further from the truth. Morgan is very active in causes she holds dear including animal welfare and civil rights for all people regardless of race, creed or sexual preference. She has been involved in political campaigns and is a former board member of the Hollywood Women's Political Committee. She is a successful businesswoman and works to empower young people as well as those members of society who may in some way be disadvantaged.

Morgan even has a bobcat named after her. Morgan the bobcat now lives at the The Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone, Minnesota after being rescued from The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Los Angeles where she was abandoned in a room. The displaced feline was taken to a rehabilitation center but deemed too tame to be released back into the wild. Morgan Fairchild came to the rescue, helping find a new home for the cute kitty.

Morgan definitely fits the bill as an accomplished woman in modern society, but just as her beauty refuses to fade, so does her enthusiasm and drive refuse to diminish. She continues to strive to please her fans and have an impact on the world around her. She is a great role model for young women and a darling of the celebrity set!
