Movie Review For Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Updated on June 16, 2012

I live to MOVE it MOVE it...

If you have watched any of the Madagascar movies you have heard the above phrase before. In this new movie be prepared to hear it again, and like it! The movie is a continuation of the story of the four animal friends trying to find a way back home to their beloved New York City Zoo. The story has the same plot as before with a bit of a twist in the end that will warm your heart.

If you liked the first two you will LOVE this one....

Unlike the first two movies the third moves right into the story. There is not much down time in Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. The movie moves right along, starting with the penguins leaving on the plane to find a way to get back to Africa to rescue Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman. The four friends decide they are going to find the penguins, (because the penguins said they were never coming back), and break into a casino. I do not want to give away much more in that area so moving right along into the next adventure, the four zoo animals find themselves in a predicament with a overly zealous animal control officer. She chases them throughout the movie, bringing a little action and fun during her participation in the movie. Being hounded by the authorities the zoo animals are forced to find their way onto a circus train. They are then needing to obtain the circus of animals to stay on the train to get back to New York city, which they are able to do with the help of the every intelligent penguins and monkeys.

Love and Polka Dot Afros

Their adventure in the circus gives inspiration to the other animals as Alex the lion decided the failing circus needs a new act. Alex attempts to teach Gia, his cheeta love interest, some moves on the trapeze and a budding romance starts. Meanwhile, Marty the zebra is up to his crazy antics keeping the movie light and fun. While the animals are practicing the out of control animal control officer, Captain Chanel DuBois catches up and shakes up the scene with the other circus animals. The crew is able to escape but there is now trouble in paradise as they head to New York City.

An Ending Worth Waiting For..

I will not be giving away details of the ending, but I will say that it is heart warming and action packed with some very fun, lively music all mixed into one wonderful finale.

All in all this movie is worth watching and I suggest doing so soon. It is great for kids and adults alike. It keeps you laughing throughout the movie with very few dull moments. Watch it, you won't regret it!

breathe2travel, I really think it will. It kept me laughing throughout the movie. There were also some dad's there that I could hear very loudly laughing at some parts (that I will not give away, but you will know them when you see them!) Thank you so much for reading and sharing!

My kids and I want to go see this -- my hubby, not so much. He liked the first, was bored with the second. Do you think this will hold his interest? I am going to share a link on his FB wall. :) Thanks!
