Plot/Story

This is an interesting spin on dinosaurs. DNA is used to somehow bring the prehistoric animals back to life through their footprints. Dinosaurs get cloned and shown in a zoo like environment to paying tourists who come to the small Costa Rica Island. When a selfish scientists takes charge, everything goes haywire.

When a DNA strand does not match up correctly some mistakes lead to some angry giant lizards on the warpath. Whether you are a fan of dinosaur history or, just a fan of adventure you're in for a treat with this gem. Although this can not be accomplished, just the thought that it could raises chill bumps on me. The plot would get an A+ but, it goes slow and keeps the film in first gear a little too long.

Lost World
Jurassic Park 3

Jurassic World

This is a list of the four Jurassic movies.

Music/Sound Effects

The music goes wonderfully with the theme of the movie. John Williams provided the music which really set up the scenes well with its tone. The Sounds were realistic and sounded like wild beasts at times. When Steven Spielberg has the final say then the sound is going to go above and beyond its call of duty. The drum sounds and bass keep the music feeling just like it came from the caveman days.

The music does a great job of taking you back to millions of years ago to the prehistoric times. The dinosaur roars, stomps and the screams of the forest creatures and people is classic to be sure. The sound of these guys eating their prey is much more intense than when Godzilla does it.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Jurassic Park was directed by Steven Spielberg and it was adapted from the book of the same name which was written by Michael Crichton.

Action

The action is intense for most of the movie when the dinosaurs start to go wild. The only drawback is the film is slow in the beginning. The biggest section of action is when several people get stuck in the wildlife park behind the fence with the dinosaurs which is full of action. Weapons such as rifles and pistols have zero effect on any and all of the dinosaurs.

Having to escape 30 feet tall creatures while watching them kill and devour is action enough but, having to kill the monsters is really an action packed scenario. The plans never seem to work but, the group always hatches a new plan and tries to execute it. Brains over brawn wins in the end but, the humans must be careful because these beasts have brains too.

Grade: B+

Jurassic Park (T-Rex Video Clips)

Acting

Jeff Goldblum was excellent but the rest of the cast were average. The other main stars of the movie are: Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Richard Attenborough. The cast isn't very strong but they performed up to standard at least. The overall script was excellent but the cast just did not hit a high note at any time.

I do not want to be too hard on the actors in this movie but, I have seen better actors, in my opinion. Sometimes when it seems death is certain or when they first come across these giant creatures the actors seemed to remain calm with no emotion.

Welcome to Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park is a land filled with DNA produced Dinosaurs. Cloning these creatures proves to be a huge mistake.

Drama

The drama heightens in this film as the people come to realize the prehistoric monsters are on the loose. A few scenes such as the little boy getting electrocuted by the fence were indeed dramatic.

The background about the characters was sincere but, a little incomplete. It still gets full of drama when the scientists gets killed in the middle of the movie. The movie does an admiral job of making the audience wonder what is gonna happen next.

Grade: A-

Better Hide

This boy better hide because these guys look hungry. The dinosaurs hunt their prey and then feast on it as soon as possible.

Special Effects

The special effects in this film, more so than even the plot, is what makes this movie so fun to watch. Computer effects and sketches help this film achieve greatness.

The dinosaurs are highly detailed and their habits remain as they would have been back in their day. The background scenes such as the mountains and the forests look very detailed and realistic. It took lots of time, money and patience to get these creatures to look and act real.

Fear Factor

The movie keeps just enough humor in it to keep it a family film and to keep it from being to scary. Even so, Jurassic Park has a since of fear that surrounds certain parts especially when T- Rex comes onto the scene.

The film has a few scary moments to be sure but nothing past its PG-13 rating. A few scary kills happen but in general thew folks escape being killed by the big Godzilla like creatures.

Grade: B+

These Guys are TALL!

This guy makes a Giraffe look like a short rodent. This fella only eats plants but it will stomp a human being to death with one stomp.

Final Thoughts........

Of the three Jurassic Park films this one is my second favorite behind Lost World. The film has an interesting plot, good sound and music and the special effects are fantastic, not just for 1993 but even now in 2014. It helped spawn several sequels, cartoons, toys, video games and clothes because of the popular that was generated from this big screen classic. It is a big screen classic because the directing and effects are top notch so I would recommend it to anyone to watch especially for the first time and you will be impressed.
