Drama and Excitement

The drama and excitement in this film was amazing. The directing, acting and production team combined to make this film full of action and intense moments.

The Fugitive's Plot

The Fugitive was released in 1993 and it was based on a television series with the exact same name.

When Dr. Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford), is convicted of killing his wife and sent to Federal prison, he is being transported, with other prisoners and one of the prisoners made a huge distraction, and caused the bus to wreck. The bus comes to a stop at the worst possible place, railroad tracks. As you guessed, there's a train coming. A few of the people of the crashed bus are still alive and manage to make it out before the train crashes into the bus.

US Marshal Deputy Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones), is very hot on his trail and are trying to catch him. It was really an exciting movie from start to finish and was great on the big screen. US Marshals will and do not stop until they catch whoever and whatever they are looking for. So, he can't stop running. If he stops, he will certainly be put in jail. So to escape, Dr. Kimble jumps into the waterfall to escape the Marshal's. The fact that he survives the fall is amazing but, to elude US Marshals, is quite the feat. Not only is Kimble trying to elude the authorities but he is also trying to uncover the truth and prove his Innocence.

Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford are excellent actors and have played in some great movies over the year but, this one has to be one of my personal favorites. This was a great movie to watch at the movie theater as well.

Music and Sound Effects

The soundtrack was released on two discs containing 17 tracks each. La La Land Records released the recordings and the tracks were performed by James Newton Howard.

The music goes great with the film's drama. When the movie shows a very intense action scene the music is very fast paced. When The Fugitive, Dr. Kimble is hiding the music has dark and deep drum beats that perfectly fits the moments.

Final Thoughts......

This was a great film with Tommy Lee Jones doing a fantastic job playing as a hard nosed U.S. Marshal and Harrison Ford was excellent as well as the fugitive on the run. The intensity never let's up which makes it very dramatic and the action scenes such as the train wrecking into the prison bus are unbelievable. The film even has a sequel which is called U.S. Marshals and Tommy Lee Jones reprises his same role from The Fugitive although he is after Wesley Snipes rather than Harrison Ford in this version. Overall, I would rank this film a 9 out of 10.
