Movies With Colours In The Title

Updated on August 25, 2014

My Favourites © Sarah Masson 2011

We all know I love doing my movie lists and I was thinking of what to do next and colours came to mind. So here is my list of movies with colours in the title, enjoy :)

Fried Green Tomatoes - An unhappily married woman (Kathy Bates) becomes friends with an old lady (Jessica Tandy) who lives in a nursing home. The old lady tells her stories about the people she used to be friends with and other interesting characters. Based on the book by Fannie Flagg, the film is fantastic. I've always loved it. It can make you laugh, cry and everything in between. A story of love and friendship starring Mary Stuart Masterson and Mary-Louise Parker.

The Green Mile - Based on the novel by Stephen King, this movie is amazing! One you've seen it you'll never forget it. Such a great story. The story follows a group of guards on death row who are awaiting the death of an accused rapist and child murderer. They soon find out that this prisoner can help them in ways that they could never imagine, he has the power of healing. Great characters, awesome storyline and amazing acting - couldn't ask for a better movie!

Pretty In Pink - A teen comedy from the 80's starring Molly Ringwald that will leave you feeling happy. It's the story we've all heard before: the poor girl has to choose between her goofy best friend and the rich good looking guy. Well before you say you've seen it all before, this is a must see 80's movie. It's funny and cute and the clothes are awesome!! A movie that will make you laugh :)

Single White Female - When a 'single white female' puts an ad in the paper for a housemate similar to her, she finds the perfect woman, after a series of strange applicants. Everything is going great until the housemate starts acting strangely and ends up being a complete PSYCHO! Great movie!

Little Black Book - A romantic comedy starring the late Brittany Murphy. The story is about a woman who sneaks through her boyfriends 'black book' and finds all of his ex girlfriends listed. She goes on a mission to find out why they are still in there and gets herself into a lot of mischief along the way.

White Oleander - A girl is left to live in foster homes after her mother gets put into prison for murdering her lover. She has an extremely difficult time being moved around from place to place and not being treated well. It was very interesting to watch the girl go through everything and wondering where she is going to end up.

Red Eye - What movie could be more perfect than being stuck on a plane next to a psycho? A lady is secretly held hostage on a flight and is threatened with the murder of her father if she doesn't comply with their plan. They plan on assasinating a politician that she knows personally. Full of drama and action, great movie :)

The Black Swan - Starring one of my favourites Natalie Portman, this is a psychological thriller that follows the story of a ballerina. Some of the scenes were quite shocking and unexpected but I still found it very interesting.

I love Fried Green Tomatoes! Towanda! I think that movie shows us that previous generations can tell us amazing things if we just take a little time to listen.

Hi Sarah I'll be posting something about colours soon, not about movies though. Have you seen, The Other Bolyeyn Sister? Natalie Portman was brilliant in that. Fried Green Tomatoes is a favourite of mine. I haven't seen The Black Swan yet but i'm looking forward to it. Have you seen the King's Speech yet?
