Movies coming in summer 2010

Iron man 2

The movie is done and the trailer is out. The question to ask is, will the sequel live up to its predecessors success?

With a stunning all star cast from Robert Downey Jr in the lead role. Don Cheadle as his sidekick, Samuel Jackson in a role not clearly defined from the trailer, Mickey Rourke as the chief rival- Whiplash. Scarlett JohanssonGwyneth Paltrow

Among others. The star cast is by no means a way to rate the movies success or failure but I could bet my bottom dollar that this will be a thriller.

The trailer seems to indicate that they have gone all the way with this one. More effects, more "iron man" like creatures. Only time will tell how well this sequel will impress. Watch the Iron Man 2 trailer here

The last Airbender

"Water. Earth. Fire. Air. In the old days, there was peace between the four nations of the world. The Avatar -- Master of all four elements -- kept peace between the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Only the Avatar has the ability to bend (manipulate) all four elements, but one day, he vanished." Source: Imdb
A promising sci-fi movie. Originality is my main concern with this genre. From the trailer, it seems to be a fresh approach but that is a purely personal speculation. Could be worth a trip to the movies this summer. Watch the trailer here.

The expendables

A star-studded production directed by Sylvester Stallone. The cast is a mixture of stars from yester year and a younger generation. I am not truly sold on this one besides the fact that I would like to see what the old stars could pull out of their bag of tricks in this era. One wonders what Governor Schwarzenegger will be up to in this one. Jason Statham is well known for action movies, a considerably good actor worth watching. Jet Li has always fascinated with his acrobatic Karate moves. The late Brittany Murphy also stars in the movie-post production. Might be worth watching for the action fans.

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Cain and Ellen Page, directed by Christopher Nolan (Dark Knight). The trailer hints at a good story line. Judging from the cast, it could well be a good movie. If not, at least one gets to see some good acting from the above-mentioned cast. Watch the trailerhere

I only saw inception of the movies you listed, but I certainly did enjoy it.
