Movies in 2011: What To Look Forward To

Updated on November 25, 2012

The Resident

This looks like a good thriller or even a horror... A young doctor moves into a gorgeous apartment. Alone. Did I mention that the doctor is a woman? She begins to feel uneasy about her living arrangement when someone begins to stalk her... Will she make it out of her apartment alive or will the stalker eliminate her first? Watch the movie to find out!

Rango

Rango is one of the most awaiting films for me for the entire family! Done by Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Films, the guys that brought you Shrek now bring you a chameleon who finds himself in a desert, chased by a hawk and then makes his way to a Western village as a result of his chase. Now even though Rango is a stranger and is initially picked on, he has to become the hero for this little town. Johnny Depp and Isla Fisher star in this must see film. It's not animation, but it's too cute for words.

Happy Feet 2 (in 3D)

Elijah Wood and Pink bring us Mumble and Gloria... the penguins of Happy Feet have returned to the big screen this year and who knows what to expect!

Mumble and Gloria now have a son named Erik who has a talent of his own. There are new dangers that threaten Emperor Penguin world and everyone must work - and dance - together to save their world!

This is not the official trailer but the best fan made one I've seen yet!

Final Destination 5

On the run from Death once again as people escape their fate.. Final Destination 5 in coming to a theater near you and it's bound to be an explosive ride. This one is about people who escape a suspense bridge accident due to someone's premonition. Death isn't happy and He's coming to find you... you can run, but you can't hide.

Another fan made trailer

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

The fourth and final installment of the Twilight Saga will be arriving in 2011 and 2012. It's been split into two movies to accomdate all the action and suspense the film will hold.

Bella and Edward are having a child.. but their child is seen as a human changed into a vampire by another clan, sparking a war between the Cullen family and the age old Volturi. Werewolves and vampires unite to save Bella's life and that of her child.

Twihard fans will love this movie but will be saddened by its abrupt end to the Twilight saga.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

I adore Captain Jack Sparrow! He's had me in fits of laughter since the first Pirates Of The Caribbean film and here he is back again with the fourth film! Captain Sparrow has a blast from the past, meeting a woman he once encountered long ago who is looking for the Fountain of Youth. Captain Sparrow boards Blackbeard's ship and admits that he's not sure who he's more terrified of: the woman or Blackbeard...

A definite must see for all Pirates Of The Caribbean fans!

Kung Fu Panda 2

Po the Panda and his Furious Five friends star in this gorgeous animation. Following the adventures of Po, his encounters with new friends and fighting a group of bandits.

Bound to have you laughing just as hard as you did in the first Kung Fu Panda, this is a great one for kids and adults alike!

Cars 2

It's baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Lightning McQueen and Mater the tow truck are back in action for a sequel.. Cars 2!
This time round Lightning McQueen is competing in the World Grand Prix to see who is the fastest car in the world. Mater finds a surprising journey awaits him and Lightning is torn between racing and following his friend on a secret mission...

I'd definitely recommend this one for the family!

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2

Harry Potter has been the best series ever for me. For the past 11 years I've grown to love the characters and I will miss them when this is over. The books were brilliant, the movies outdid themselves, but it's time for a magical world to end.

This is the final Harry Potter movie and will be an exciting one with the build up to the final fight between Voldemort and Harry. Not to be missed!

Which movie are you most looking forward to?

@Tony0724: I think some movies really should have sequels and others not.. If there were no sequels, there'd be endless movies about really stupid ideas..

All of these movies are a case in point of why I like Redbox. Sequels , sequels and more sequels. Isn't there any creativity in film making anymore ?
