My Life On The Radio

Chuck RitenouR 9/8/2013

Verse 1:
Late last night while driving home,
I heard my life on the radio.
The singer sang of love gone bad
it was the best love he ever had.
And as I listened tears fell like rain
for just as him, I loved in vain. It transported me back in time back to the days when you were mine.

Verse 2:

So I drove on down to the lake
it was a trip down memory lane.
I'd just come home from the war
And I didn't want to fight no more.
Yellow ribbon in your hair
let me know how much you cared.
That first time in my daddy's car
love took us both just a little too far.

Verse 3:
Wedding bells and a blushing bride
walking down the aisle side by side.
It seemed my life had just begun
but I didn't know how far you'd run.
No I didn't know and I just couldn't see
how someone I loved could make of fool of me.
Now down the road alone I go
listening to my life on the radio.
