My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Guide and Review
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is the new reinvented series of My Little Pony from the 80s written by and directed by Lauren Faust. The new MLP is an action - adventure - comedy all rolled up into one. The new series follows a studious unicorn pony named Twilight Sparkle. She is sent to Ponyville by Princess Celestia to check on preparations for the upcoming festival and more then anything to make some friends. Her and her other five friends; Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rarity journey through the magical land of Equestria to solve problems and have fun while learning lessons on the way. Every episode has a meaning and message Twilight Sparkle sends to Princess Celestia about friendship with the help of her pet dragon Spike. While every pony has her/his own character traits they all have the overall goal of living in Harmony. Each and every pony has his/her own cutie marks that show a talent each one has. These marks are earned threw time as a pony truly finds their calling in life. The show itself has inherited a girly type feel from its past but this isn't the old girly version! Its written in a way that males and older people enjoy watching the show as-well. As long as you watch with an open mind and not judge it by what others say or what you believe is girly or not for me then you will see its actually a pretty awesome show! The show is so successful that they are going into another season! Thats right, My Little Pony Season 5! What are you waiting for, check out what this show is all about.
MLP has the 6 main ponies and then a ton of other reoccurring characters and support characters in the series. These background characters are known as background ponies and each have their own talent and cutie mark and role in Equestria.
Twilight Sparkle is the main character in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. The whole start of the series revolves around her reporting her adventures learning different lessons of Friendship. She ends up taking a leadership role in the group as she is the only one of all of the ponies that actually has organization skills.
Rainbow Dash is the lovable thrill seeking tomboy pony. While shes named clearly after her mane color she is actually really caring - in a up in your face type way! While picked on by others shes really a strong flyer and one of the only to ever produce a Sonic Rainboom. Of course you don't need me to tell you about that she will tell you more about it herself!!!
Fluttershy is (umm excuse me) the cute yellow pony in MLP. Out of all of the ponies Fluttershy is the most careful and delicate of them all. While all six ponies are friends Fluttershy cares for them more as a mother then anything else. While she is soft spoken (I really don' think-), scared easily (now hold on please), and often referred to as a doormat (I really don't think we have to say things lik-) overall she is one of the most interesting of anypony.
Pinkie Pie is the fun loving sporadic pony that only wants to have fun with everything. Shes best know for her killer parties that everypony enjoys. Out of all the gang Pinkie Pie tends to forget details, say the wrong thing, and completely end up in trouble more often then anyone else. While easily tricked she does deep down care for everyone and just wants to see them happy!
Applejack is the hard working country pony who always makes it a point to tell the truth regardless of what it is or how it will effect anything. Applejack is the strongest pony whose can do attitude helps get the job done and done right. While she is extremely motivated and can do many physical challenges she doesn't always understand complex things or anything that can't be learned naturally. Regardless of her lack of book smarts she still has an open heart for anypony that needs a helping hand. (AWW SHUCKS THERE THATS JUST ME BEING ME)
Rarity is the girly-girl of all of the ponies. She loves fashion and everything that can be considered elegant. Afraid of getting dirty Rarity tries to keep up her overall appearance as a lady. She overall means well but her self centered personality is often hurtful and comes across as sharp to her fellow ponies but she in the end she learns how to be a good caring friend to everyone else.
Princess Celestia is the ruler of all the ponies. She is a fair and noble winged unicorn that just wants all the ponies to live in harmony. Leader of the school all little ponies go to she discovered Twilight Sparkles unique abilities and made her a personal apprentice. This is how Twilight and her friends started to take note of the Magic of Friendship.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders
The Cutie Mark Crusaders consist of three little ponies out on the mission of earning their cutie marks. The three of them are Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle. Apple Bloom is Applejack's little sister; a yellow earth pony with a red mane and tail with a large pink bow on her head. Scootaloo is an orange pegasus pony with a magenta mane and tail and takes the place of the tomboy in the group - being brave and argumentative. Scootaloo idolizes Rainbow Dash and would follow anything she says. Lastly, Sweetie Belle is Rarity's little sister, a white unicorn pony with a pink and purple mane and tail. She wants to grow up to be a designer like her sister Rarity, but whenever she tries to help her sister out even though she means well she ends up cause chaos and creating messes for her sister. Together all three take part in adventures to try to obtain their long awaited cutie marks.
Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle
There are many ponies in Ponyville that aren't really seen enough to have a full fan page devoted to them. Everypony deserves to be known and talked about somewhere! Each background pony is special in their own ways and help keep the storylines moving and making sense.

My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic Fandom
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic as a cartoon has taken the whole demographics game by surprise. While originally MLP:FIM is targeted at young girls ages 8-12, it has a much larger viewership of teenagers and young adults - largely male who coined the term "Brony". Show demographics show males up to 35 years old often enjoying the show just as much if not more then the targeted audience. Surprised? I was being a boy in his early 20s actually watching and enjoying the show. I thought it was just for girls as-well but apparently regardless of age or gender many people enjoy the show. So really, don't judge something just because your best friend or buddy says "why would you watch that" just give it a try! I suggest just like many Anime shows just watch around 3-4 episodes and if you don't enjoy it or get hooked then don't watch it. Many Anime Fans would suggest 3-4 episodes is about the right amount of a show to fully understand the just of it. Just watching episode 1 sometimes leaves a bad aura around the show, especially because you don't get into the "real" feel of it.
