My Mexican Dream

Updated on August 24, 2010

My Mexican Dream

My Mexican Dream

by Chuck RitenouR

1st verse:

Sittin' on the beach with a drink in my hand, senorita rubbin' the sun screen in

watchin' the waves melt into the sand she asked if I wanna make love again

big brown eyes and long black hair, she's the prettiest little thing I ever seen

when all of a sudden the alarm clock rings and wakes me from my Mexican dream

2nd verse:

Why did I let myself do it, how did I get into this shape

my head is pounding like a big bass drum and man, I really got the shakes

I was drinking tequila all night long, I fell asleep watchin' the TV

and the travel channel took me from my home and left me at my Mexican dream.

3rd verse:

My morning commute is a two hour drive, I got Jimmie Buffet on my radio

making a livin' ain't the same as being alive, its a sad truth everybody knows

I hum along 'cause I forgot the words as my heart drifts on the melody

I'm rolling down the freeway with the thundering herd dreaming my Mexican dream

yeah,I'm rolling down the freeway with the thundering herd dreaming my Mexican dream

the end
