My Review for the Movie - Taken

Updated on November 8, 2012

Introduction:

  • Name of the movie: Taken
  • Source: TV
  • Genre: Thriller
  • Cast: Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Katie Cassidy, Olivier Rabourdin
  • Director of the film: Pierre Morel

Summary of the story:

Bryan Mills, a retired CIA agent has unique set of skills. He tries to bond with her daughter Kim, who lives with her mother, Lenore, and stepfather, Stuart. Kim travels to Paris with her friend Amanda for a tour. They both got kidnapped by a human trafficking ring. Bryan uses his old skills to save her abducted daughter.

Review of the film:

Pros: This film portrays a father’s unconditional love towards his daughter. Emotions are clearly explained, especially when he expresses the feelings for his kidnapped daughter. The one scene that took me away was the point where he tells the kidnapper, “I don’t know who you are, but if you don’t let my daughter go, I will find you, I will kill you”.

Cons: The climax scenes were so fictional and hard to believe. The way he calculates to jump into the boat and find out the criminals was unbelievable. But overall, the movie had a great impact in me.

Character I liked in the film:

For anyone who watched this movie it’s obvious, who will not like the stunning father Liam Neeson. His role was inspirational and impressing. After watching this movie every daughter’s heart would want a father like him. I’m no way exceptional.

Technical aspect I liked the most:

Cinematography by Michel Abramowicz was awesome. The way he shot nook and corner of Paris just took the film to a great height.
