My thoughts on Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

Updated on November 10, 2012

For as long as I can remember, Abraham Lincoln was considered to be one of my favorite presidents among all the presidents that have run the United States. He may have had his faults and made some decisions that weren't the best in a few circumstances but he was a good president according to a few people that would think that same as me. So when they came out with Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, it really got my interest. Who could imagine Abraham Lincoln as a vampire hunter?

The way that the movie starts off is with Lincoln as a young child and he sees his mother die due to a vampire that has bitten her and he has promised that he will take revenge on what has happened. Years have gone by and Lincoln meets this guy by the name of Henry who decides to teach him how to get rid of vampires but he tells him that he shouldn't let his feelings get in the way of his training. When Henry thinks that Lincoln is ready to be on his own, he lets Lincoln go to another place to live where there are vampires to kills and one thing that he cannot forget is his ax which is one thing that he is good at using when it comes to killing the vampires.

Lincoln meets Mary Todd in a shop that he is working at decides to court her and he even marries her. He gets into politics and decides to fight battles with words and not with his ax. He puts it away and for awhile there is a peace but the war happens and vampires start to help the enemies. Lincoln then realizes he cannot fight with words but with weapons. He takes out his ax and decides to finish the war with the vampires and the historical battle at Gettysburg.

We all know what Lincoln did for the country in his time and how he handled the war on slavery. This movie is based on a book. We know that this movie is fictional in a sense but it brings us to see how Lincoln thought and helped us see how he would be when it comes to getting rid of vampires.
