Nana Tanimura: The Pop Music Star That Was Influenced by Michael Jackson

Note: Nana Tanimura (not to be confused with gravure model Nana Kasai) is a Japanese pop music singer from Osaka, Japan.

Nana Tanimura is signed to the sub-label called SONIC GROOVE. She is from Osaka, Japan and is listed as being 5 feet and 4 inches tall. When she was between 3 and 8 years of age, Tanimura spent time between Japan, Hawaii, and Los Angeles because of her father’s work schedule. Her parents loved music and Nana attended a Michael Jackson concert in Hawaii which inspired her to become a singer. Her talents quickly developed and she can also play the piano which she loves. She was signed to the Japanese record label called avex trax in 2007 and she has a law degree from Aoyama Gakuin University.

Before she made her debut as a singer, Nana reached the semifinals of Miss Magazine which is a yearly gravure modeling contest and she did so in 2006. Tanimura joins an extensive list of singers that have also become models such as Ai Takahashi, Risa Niigaki, Aki Takajo, Yui Yokoyama, Yuki Kashiwagi, and Asuka Kuramochi.

She has also done work as a supermodel and she announced that she would release her third photo book called 7 which she did on September 7, 2014. The singer held a handshake event at the Fukuya Bookstore Shinjuku Subnade Store and she shook hands with over 500 fans. Tanimura briefly made a statement about her then new photo book by saying that since the photo shoot was completely done in Hawaii, she was able to show herself just as she is. Tanimura said that she thought about lots of things before the photo shoot but gave credit to Hawaii for what she described as “amazing” that she was able to be her natural self. Hawaii’s energy was amazing for her. Note: Hawaii is a popular destination for tourism and living for the Japanese people.

Nana Tanimura who is now 33 years old has made appearances in famous magazines such as Weekly Playboy, Young Jump and the famous men’s magazine called Sabra. Nana Tanimura was at the event dressed in a gorgeous burgundy style dress that would have male fans being in awe of her amazing appearance. Nana Tanimura's music is best described as dance pop.
