Tailed beasts

The Tailed Beasts in Naruto (bijū) are nine giant constructs of "Chakra" ~ a kind of power unit in Naruto World.

Where do these Tailed Breasts come from?

The Legendary Sage of the Six Paths has sealed the Ten Tailed Beast (which it's power outmatch all kind of creatures in the world) inside his own body to prevent it from terrorizing the world. After he sealed the breast into his body, he then realized that the creature could possibly escape from his body when he's death. The Sage break the Ten Tailed Beast's chakra inside his body and scattered it into 9 parts (9 beasts) and averagely distribute to all ninja villages.

Tailed Beasts

Each Tailed Beast is different by the number of tails and volume and types of "Chakra" they have. They possessing an enormous amount of power and strength. However, this immense strength is tempered due to their bestial nature that restricts them from using it smartly and effectively.

Akatsuki

Tailed Beasts' immense strength drawn the attention from Akatsuki, which is a criminal organization that becomes one of the primary antagonists of the Naruto series. Akatsuki captures and sealed the tailed beasts for future use. The Host will be dead as if the Tailed Beast is "detached" from their body. As at the moment, Akatsuki has captured seven of tailed beasts, the Akatsuki leader Pain, claimed these beasts will facilitate in the creation of a weapon capable of destroying an entire country whilst the group's true leader Madara reveals his intention of merging the tailed beasts back into their original form to use the Ten-Tailed Beast's power his agenda.

Hosts

Tailed Beast sealed within a Host is more powerful than the Tail Beast alone because of its benefits from the knowledge of their hosts, which giving them the ability to speak and better utilize their powers.

The hosts for the tailed beasts "Jinchuriki Hosts", are those who have had a tailed beast sealed within their bodies. The first Jinchuriki was the Sage of the Six Paths when he needed to subdue the Ten-Tailed Beast. Later, Jinchūriki are created by the 1st Hokage of Fire Ninja Villages and averagely distributed the tailed-beast to 5 ninja village (besides 7-tailed)

Host - Tailed Beast Forms

1. Partial Transform - The Host is still able to control the power during this transformation. The Host's power increased dramatically.

2. Full Transform - The Host let the Tailed Beast to convert his whole body into Tailed-Beast forms. This state is a bit stronger than Partial Transform.

3. Complete Awakening - The Host cannot control the tail beast completely as the host is under unstable emotion or the Host subjectively letting the Tailed Beast to "take charge".

4. Tailed Beast Chakra Coat - a coat with Tailed Beast's Chakra, the Chakra Coat protects the host and able to shape-shifting (extend). Host's speed and power increased dramatically in this state.

5. Tailed Beast in Physical State - Some of the Jinchurikis are capable to control tailed-beast's Chakra Coat and materialized it into Physical State. This state is very close to the complete Revival of the Tailed Beast as the Jinchuriki Host is not able to control the Tailed Beast Power and the intrusion of it's consciousness.
