No Reason For Concern
No Reason For Concern
By Chuck RitenouR
Verse 1:
When Jim got home, dinner was on the table
Jane was on the phone talking to a friend
He decided he would tell her if he was able
tell her, their marriage was coming to an end.
Its just another day surviving on the beltway
its just another secret everybody knows.
Love walks through the door but never stays
and no one seems to know just where it goes.
Chorus:
You would have thought she could have seen it in his expression
You would have thought by now she would have learned
to see beyond her own world and indiscretion
but in her mind there was no reason for concern.
Verse 2:
Last night, Jane was dreaming of another
and in his arms is where she longs to be
She'd tell Jim but then again why bother
why bother, if he's too blind to see.
Its just another day surviving on the beltway
its just another secret everybody knows.
Love walks through the door but never stays
and no one seems to know just where it goes.
Chorus:
You would have thought he could have seen it in her expression
You would have thought by now he would have learned
to see beyond his own world and indiscretion
but in his mind there was no reason for concern.
End.
