Not Easily Broken movie review
The film, Not Easily Broken stars Morris Chestnut and Taraji P. Henson as a couple who married young in 1995. Henson plays the character Clarice and Chestnut plays the character Dave.
Fast forward to present time and Clarice is on the fast track to becoming a real estate mogul. She is lauded as salesperson of the year by her division.
Dave's career dreams of being a professional baseball player are deferred after a serious injury but he remains committed to the game by coaching little leaguers and providing encouragement for them to achieve their own dreams. It is very important for him to do so.
Clarice however ridicules Dave's endeavors and tells him that he is wasting his time. She constantly reminds him that she has become the sole bread winner and why is he always hanging out with his boys. These include his adult friends who are fellow coaches on the little league team. They are often found either coaching the baseball or playing at the basketball court.
Clarice's resentment and ridicule of her husband reaches a boiling point when she yells her disappointment at him in the car when he is driving. They are on the way to Clarice's salesperson of the year awards event and Clarice is angry because Dave was late coming home from coaching to pick her up and take her to the event.
Clarice's loud attitude makes for serious distraction while Dave is trying to drive and he reacts, yelling back at her.
