OMG Funny Photos

Updated on June 7, 2013

OMG Funny Photos

Did you ever view a photo or illustration that made you say ‘OMG, that’s really funny!’ And you laughed either out loud, or silently to yourself?

It happened to me several times this week so I’m going to share a few of these special funny OMG moments with you.

Westminster Bridge
Westminster Bridge

Take a look at this photo to the right. Am I the only one who sees a unique, special pattern … illustrated by the shadow of the bridge balustrade … when it is a sunny day? Who was the artistic and imaginative architect who created it? Did it represent a special statement he or she wished to make?

If you would like to see it yourself in person, walk across the Westminster Bridge in London on a sunny afternoon.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

What do you think that adorable little boy is saying to the kangaroos locked in an amorous embrace? From the quizzical look on the face of the male kangaroo, perhaps the child is offering a portion of his McDonald’s lunch and asking, “You want fries with that?”

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Awwwwwww! You may have seen this popular photo before of two cute puppies trying to push a small child up from the ground to a standing position. See the third puppy standing behind them watching but doing absolutely nothing? That’s the supervisor. He works for the government!

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Property of WalMart
Property of WalMart

Grilling meat for dinner I’m glad to report,

Has now become my favorite sport.

But there were no grills at my WalMart,

So I borrowed a WalMart shopping cart.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Now this one you may want to study very carefully. It illustrates perfectly the concept: 'If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.'

Go ahead,

look closely.

I’ll wait.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Though I drive a lot on local streets and roads,

I never saw auto-driving frogs or toads.

But they must exist driving cars so fine,

Because here is their unique parking sign.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Actual traffic jam in Cairo, Egypt
Actual traffic jam in Cairo, Egypt

I know I complain a lot about traffic in south Florida, regardless of the car-driving frogs and toads.

But I’ll be honest with you. As bad as the traffic is, it is nowhere as bad as this. Trust me.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

I can say it all in just six words:

Necessity is the mother of invention.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

I don't know how it happened. There I was just playing outside by myself, and he must have followed me home. Can I keep him, huh, can I keep him, puleeze!

Thanks, Pam and Adam, for finding this. The laugh is on me. This hub was even funnier when the first photo at the beginning of the Westminster Bridge in London was still included. The architecture of the bridge railing was very suggestive when it cast its shadow. Guess it was TOO suggestive.

Good to know, Cat, that your sense of humor may be as offbeat as mine. But I dunno - not recognizing those anatomical-shadow-versions of the bridge balustrade before your 12-year old son is a bit foreboding. You do know that the birds and the bees is just a fairy tale. Right? Right?

Ah, well, all's well in the end since you found this as I did - really funny.

      drbj,

OMG this is too funny! Want to know what else is funny? After I read part 2 and came looking for part1... I opened the page and distraction after distraction kept preventing me from actually reading it. After I'd respond to an email or notification, I'd bounce back to this tab and attempt to read it again. Well, my 12 year old son came into the den to ask me a question and as I'm looking up at him, he starts to giggle. I'm thinking... what the heck is he giggling about? Next thing I know, as if in slow motion... he raises his finger, extends it and begins heading for the computer.... he pointed out the lovely shadows on the bridge and I attempted to play it off, you know a mother in denial; he shouldn't recognize those shadows, right? (Despite the fact that he's been walking around for 12 years carrying a similar shadow with him :-) ... I attempt to deter the conversation and he says ... 'ha ha why do those shadows look like that?' I said... 'I don't know, now go to bed' Ha ha ha... I hadn't even caught it until he pointed it out :D How funny is that? You not only gave me a laugh... but my son too!

      Really funny stuff!

Hi, iguidenetwork. You are absolutely correct. It IS an aphrodisiac bridge. I just didn't know how to spell it til I saw your comment. :) Thanks for liking the grill photo, too, accompanied by limerick. And for the Up and funny.

Nice to meet you, Lois. Happy you loved the fox photo and the others, too. Did they know what they were doing when they built that bridge balustrade? Not certain but it's fun to imagine that the architect played a joke on all involved with construction.

That supervisor puppy, Don, is one of my favorites, too. And that co-worker was on the mark. The higher you get in government, it seems the less work you have to do. Do you think we will ever get back to a Congress that actually works for a living? Thanks for the sharing efforts, my friend.

Thanks for the giggles, BJ as usual - gotta love the kangaroos...and what's in YOUR pocket...er wallet? My son would have done something similar no doubt~ I remember taking him to the zoo in Detroit and the bears were having an intimate moment and people were RUNNING to see what was going on. Jon was hysterical - I think he was maybe 2 or 3---he wanted the bigger bear to stop "poking" the smaller bear...and the little baby bear to stop crying....good lord - birds and bees 101 whether we were ready or not~

That's my kinda kitten too...I once untied a horse and brought it home....to our duplex no less...said it followed me home, could I keep him? I was 7--okay - I was 37~

Loved your comments about the Westminster bridge design, Martie. That ingenious graphic could instill severe depression in many of the male persuasion.

So you, too, had the dubious pleasure of being involved in Cairo's disastrous traffic? I think drivers there are taught to ignore the auto's brakes and just rely on the horn.

You are so right, Susan. That WalMart shopping cart grill was just the kind of invention MacGyver would have come up with. I miss that TV program - it was pure genius. Thanks for your large LOL and kind words, m'luv.

Pardon me drbj but what's so funny about the erect-looking Westminster Bridge configurations? They look familiar, but just can't seem to wrap my sweaty little hands around what it is. Anyway, the rest were funny enough to vote up with pleasure!

Hi, drbj - thank you so much for the great laughs! I can not believe that whoever designed the Westminster Bridge didn't know the pattern that would show up. But my favorite was the fox in with the hounds. No, it was the traffic jam in Cairo. Oh, alright, I loved them all.

This is indeed the cutest photos. Ya, and what shall we say about #1 - I bet the designer NEVER consider the consequences of his piece of art. (Oh my, supposed they were all resting their cases - just figure! Instigating dangerous depression for every Tom, Dick and Harry to handle.)

I saw and experienced Cairo's catastrophic traffic in person. NO rules on the roads. Everyone for himself and the debil for all. Very low crime rate due to merciless laws, but high death-rate on the roads uncontrollable? A mind-blowing enigma!

Voted up and extremely funny :) Drbj, you are the best :)

      Oh WOW! Wow! Wow!

Those are great photos and yes Ma'am - I do see something fishy about that first one! I bet some clever person did that on purpose! haha

I love that grill - now that just cracks me up - ingenuity!

Very clever and I am sharing this too - too cute not to let everyone see!

There was definitely something on the balcony designer's mind, Rosemary. Just not sure whether it was pride or envy. :)

Thank you for visiting and loving this. Providing the smiles for your day is my pleasure, m'dear.

Definitely and 'OMG' moment. Love the first one, definitely something on the designers mind, frustration maybe or just an ego.

Now what wrong with a Kangeroo snacking on the job, brave child

Loved this Doc and thank you for the smiles of the day

Thanks for stopping by, teaches. Delighted I gave you a great smile for the day. The first thing I thought of when I saw the third puppy just standing there watching the other two at work - Hmmmmm, must be a supervisor working for the government. Sad, but unfortunately too often true. :(

The pleasure is mine, love (to the 3rd power). Good to know you drive a high-end frog car. Is it a Volkswagen Ribbit by any chance.

Drbj, this was a great post and gave me a great smile in my day. I especially loved your comment about the third puppy being a government employee. Funny! Always a good read when I visit your hubs. Keep it up!

Yes. Thank u. Delighted to be acquainted. I will drop by periodically to read more of ur work ;). Oh yes. I own a high end frog car that I hop on periodically. I don't drive it often cause there's just not enough signs like the one above hanging in my city these days. I can never be too sure where to park and it often gets toad.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Barbara. Laughter is medicine for the soul ... and the body. Those two little puppies in the photo are so earnestly doing the work while the third one just stands there supervising. Typical of supervisors, no? Thanks for visiting and enjoying these.

Hi, Ruby. Hope you are still smiling. Thanks for loving this. I had an alternative subhead in mind for the kitty holding the puppy photo: "Come any closer and I'll eat him." But good sense prevailed.
