Oprah Winfrey: The Most Influential Woman in America
When her TV show was running, Oprah Winfrey was the most influential woman in America. Surely for other women, she was, with tens of millions of them tuning in to hang on her every word. In one poll, 33% of American females said Oprah had more impact on their religious/spiritual worldview than any priest or pastor.
God blessed Oprah, she became the richest woman in the world, but she turned her back on God and became one of the worst promoters of occult mumbo-jumbo in the world, leading millions of women down the Path to Perdition.
Oprah Made Deepak Chopra Famous
Oprah made Deepak Chopra famous. He repackaged his Hindu religion into what he calls 'a new science' so successfully that the American press gushed over him. "Emperor of the soul," wrote Time magazine; "Brilliant and exhilarating," says the New York Times. “Dazzling and enlightening,” “A New Age superstar,” were among the many praises tossed his way in our newspapers.
Now Chopra says if only we knew what he knows—and he will tell us, at least partially, for a fee—we would not get sick, age or die. What is the message? “We are not individual beings at all but merely local expressions of an infinite, universal field of energy.”
A Course in Miracles
One of the books that Oprah helped sell millions of copies of is A Course in Miracles by Atheist Psychologist Helen Schucman. It may as well be called The Satanic Bible—although there is already one of those.
Ms. Schucman says the book was dictated to her by a spiritual being she calls “the entity.” In some interviews she has preposterously claimed the entity was Christ Jesus, writing through her to correct errors in the Bible. I say preposterously because the entity attacks everything written in the Bible and flat out denies the atonement of Christ on the Cross.
It is evident that the entity hates Christianity and all it has stood for. In particular, it assures us that there will not be any Last Judgment or any judgment at all. The one thing God will never be is judgmental. In this demonic doctrine, sin does not exist, and there is no need for any person to be forgiven of anything.
Christ is not necessary in this view, and not even extra special, The Entity assures us through Ms. Shucman on Oprah’s program: “The Name of Jesus Christ is but a symbol used as a replacement for the many names of all the gods to which you pray. God would never decide against you, or He would be deciding against Himself. Forgiveness does not pardon sins. There is no sin. All guilt is solely the invention of your mind.”
The Secret
In that book and all of Oprah's views what we find is ancient Pantheism: All that is exists is God, and if there were no Universe there would be no God because the Universe is what he is.
According to Oprah’s buddy Eckhart Tolle, when Jesus said, “I am the Way, and the Truth and the Life,” what He really meant was YOU are the way and the truth and the life.
What is God? Eckhart says YOU are. And that means everybody, even Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin and Jeffrey Dahmer and Charles Manson.
Oprah’s other friend Rhonda Byrne clarifies it for us: YOU are God; YOU are eternal life; YOU are all wisdom; YOU are all powerful; YOU are the creator.
But don’t be flattered, she doesn’t mean just you, she means every human being who has ever lived. So you are God may sound pretty good until you realize there are seven billion gods on Earth and at least that many gods are in the ground already.
Thanks to Opry, Rhonda Byrne sold 19 million copies of her book The Secret, about the so-called ‘Law of Attraction.’
The book teaches us that if you have no job, are depressed, can’t read, are poor, addicted to drugs or alcohol, abused or battered, in a lousy job, can’t pay your bills, or facing foreclosure, bankruptcy and ruin, it is only because you thought negative thoughts! Or had negative friends.
One famous women’s health expert, Dr. Christiane Northrup, promotes the Law of Attraction: “The way the universe works is that we attract to us whatever we are vibrating.”
Does this mean victims of rape and murder were ‘vibrating’ the crimes they suffered? Do negative thinkers walk in the rain right next to positive thinkers walking in sunshine? If a plane crashes are only the negative thinkers killed?
Life After Life
Dr. Raymond Moody was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show so she could promote his book Life After Life.
In his book, Dr. Moody teaches us a message that meets Oprah's wholehearted approval. There is no personal God, and Jesus is no Savior, and there is no Judgment Day because after death all of us, even Chairman Mao, Pol Pot, and John Wayne Gacy, meet 'the Central Force' a 'Being of Light,' who just loves and accepts everybody without question.
Moody is also heavily into the Occult, in particular, 'mirror gazing' to talk with the dead.
Contact with Otherworldly Beings
Oprah Winfrey featured 'remote viewers’ on her programs, such as Rosemary Altea, “A spiritual medium and a healer who with her spirit guide, an Apache named Grey Eagle, communicates with spirits to heal, guide and console.”
Many famous people claim to have had encounters with such spirit beings, and some have even written down what these higher beings told them. What they have written has several surprisingly similar themes: There is no Heaven or Hell; you can evolve to higher consciousness; Jesus is not the Savior; Christianity is false; The Bible is not valid. God is not standing apart and above Creation; He is Creation. Another is that you do not need a Savior; all you need is to get in touch with your inner self.
Oprah even had a Satanist, Michael Aquino, on her show so he could teach her viewers that the very idea Satan is evil is a gross misconception that he would “Lay at the doorstep of the Christian value system.”
The God of Oprah
Now, it is easy to see the appeal of New Age Religion. It presents God as a Force that is good and evil, positive and negative, yin and yang—a Force that expects nothing from you and knows nothing about morality.
The Creator God of the Bible issues Moral Law and tells us of blessings IF you obey Him and curses IF you don’t and a Judgment Day at the end of this life and an eternal fate decided by your acceptance or rejection of God the Father and His Son.
The God of Oprah is a Force that is not intelligent or personal or even a person. Some will admit an original intelligence must have organized all of this that we experience as our Cosmos, but denies that God has revealed Himself to us in written texts—Scripture—or that God will ever judge anybody. A nonjudgmental god! Perfect for our times, don't you think?
New Age Religion is an Occult religion. Its tenets are remarkably similar to what the Serpent said in the Garden of Eden. With the denial of good and evil, it makes sense that there is no objective truth, only opinions.
This makes New Agers' broadminded' and Christians' narrowminded,' you see. They accept everything and reject nothing, so they are the truly 'tolerant' people. They say, "We are all taking different paths to the same place."
This comes from Hinduism, which will accept Jesus easily enough, but only if he is added to the pantheon of 330 million gods they already have. However, they are not accepting the Jesus of the Holy Bible.
Oprah for President!
"Hi, I'm Oprah. I'm the spokesperson for Weight Watchers but can't control my weight. I tell you how to run your marriage, but I can't commit to marriage. I tell you how to raise your kids, but I'm too selfish to have any."
Now, the Left pines for Oprah to run for president. It makes me wonder, can the Antichrist be a woman?

Well said. It is easy for folks to speak about fiscal inequality when they have more money than they can ever spend in three lifetimes. When I was in college, the kids who yelled about the establishment et al were the kids from the wealthy families who dressed 'down' in their name brand clothes...funny how that works. Far be it from me to judge anyone but there is a disconnect....and so many fail to see that. O my...the sad truth is that if she were to run for Pres there are so many who are blinded by all of the gift giving that she does that would vote for her and if not cause her to win would skew the results. I do not begrudge her success...but I do wonder how she is the center of her universe. Angels once again are headed to you, James. ps

If I were to meet Oprah, I would ask her what she thinks is going to happen to her when she dies. I would love to hear her answer. I hope she realizes all her money, material things and body stay in this world when she leaves it, and she will leave it. So, what is she without those things? What are any of us without those things? We all will find out some day.

Another interesting anecdote I learned is that Helen Schucman maintained a friendship. of sorts, with a Catholic priest, Father Benedict Groeschel. The priest stated that he initially found her witty and engaging before she wrote "A Course in Miracles." He further stated that "In his opinion, A Course in Miracles served to undermine authentic Christianity more effectively than just about any other work he could recall."
The priest also said that towards the end of her life, Mrs. Schucman went into a "black hole of rage and depression"; that she became "frightening to be with." She was filled with hatred "for all things spiritual" and even her own book. Even as she lay dying, he said, "she cursed, in the coarsest barroom language you could imagine." The priest stated, "She raised the hair on the back of my neck. It was truly terrible to witness."
So much for spiritual Beings of Light. So much for Oprah's religion. This is what happens when one gives so-called spirit guides entrance into one's life. Their intent is to do harm. Always.
I'd be worried if I were Oprah.
You noticed when people become rich they change. They think they above God in some way. If her health was to drastically change you would see how quickly she would pray to God. Life is complex. There are so many religions that come and go. Christians are here to stay. Thank you. Have a good day.
Sometimes I think it is all a game for Oprah and others like her and other times it is clear that they have an agenda. Either way, (it's probably a game-filled agenda) she and others like her, seek only to elevate themselves.
The 'new' teaching that is spreading like wildfire is that there is no shame in anything that you do because it is what makes you, you. (Jeremiah 6:15 speaks about this). This is the 'tolerance' of today and that is what Oprah preaches all the time on her 'Super Soul Sundays'.
Much of the world tolerates evil and calls it good because they will offend people if they do not.
I know people who KNOW right from wrong but will say nothing because they are afraid of others jumping on their backs and calling their speech 'hate speech' etc.
I remember the exact moment I fully understood whose side Oprah was on. She was talking about God and the Bible and she said that she couldn't understand how God could be jealous. That jealousy was not a good trait and God should not have it. She said her god was not a jealous God.
She has slung mud on the name of God and His word for a long, long time and she continues to do it, claiming that she has found the truth about God and the universe. Feeding lies to people daily and poisoning souls.
This really puts things into perspective, James. It's easy to see how she was able to gain followers in this world of lost souls. New Age teachings, put under a bright light like you have done, really exposes the fallacies.
I really liked the meme about billionaires running for President. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
You can see every one of those verses in the deceptive system that Oprah pushed.
I was never a big fan, but I did watch some of her shows until the late 90's. That's when I realized what she was doing.
I believe she had such an effect on the world that there are now even Christian churches who are mixing middle eastern philosophies into their teachings. "The Emergent Church," is one of them.

i could care less what Helen Schucman writes or about Moody's views. As far as I am concerned Oprah has done a totally gone off the end. Unfortunately, my sister and in particular her daughter has bought all of this hook, line and sinker. Her daughter is doing well selling real estate, and her ego is huge. I fine I do not want to be around her. It is sad that someone that can influence people, Oprah, has pushed this way of thinking. Good article James.
I read one of Eckhardt Tolle's books , I literally didn't understand any of it. Went way over my head... I didn't care for it at all.
Oprah said she won’t run for President and so Seth Meyers said at the Golden Globes: "In 2011, I told some jokes about our current president at the White House Correspondents Dinner, jokes about how he was unqualified to be president," Meyers said during his opening monologue. "And some have said that night convinced him to run. And if that's true, I would just like to say Oprah you will never be President."
Odd, trying to be funny, he was implying Oprah might have a personality similar to Trump’s! I’m surprised he didn’t suffer repercussions for that.
You know Trump was on Oprah Winfrey once, but the cops pulled him off of her, and then she threatened to press charges. Nobody knows it but that was the billion dollar loss Trump had.

I don't think Oprah's current following makes her a fit for the anti-Christ, though she likely serves as one of his minions. Fame and fortune led her down a dangerous path, and she is embracing where it's taken her. I do think, however, that based upon her stance on immigration, she should open her home to a few hundred of the undocumented and possibly build housing on all that land. Just saying..... she supports amnesty..... where better to start than her own back yard.
