With the release of the Paranormal Activity 4 trailer now upon us we may finally get a glimpse in to what exactly will happen to Katie and Hunter, as well as any other innocent, unsuspecting people who cross their path. The first three films, with the third one being a prequel, set up a lot of story and background but fans of the series are dying to know, what happens to baby Hunter after the end of Paranormal Activity 2? From the looks of it we are going to find out. To the right is the new poster for the film that debuted today before the release of the trailer. Check out the trailer below.

Pretty creepy huh? Although the trailer doesn't provide us with a clear direction on where the story is exactly heading, we get a glimpse of things to come. The trailer tells us that "All the activity has come to this," which leads to the idea that this Paranormal Activity might be the last (How many times have you heard that one?). We are introduced to two new characters, a blonde haired girl who appears to be in her mid-late teens and her supposed boyfriend. Apparently weird things have started to happen ever since her new neighbors, Katie and baby Hunter, moved in. How Katie, being possessed by an evil entity, and a kidnapped baby managed to buy a house next door to this girl is beyond me, but hopefully we will get some sort of explanation in the movie. We get a shot of baby Hunter standing outside on the driveway, staring at the girls house and then things start to go wrong. Lights being to flicker, her laptop, which she is video chatting with her boyfriend on, begins to act up which only means one thing. We are then treated to scene of what appears to be Katie attacking the blonde haired teen, which then begs the question, why? Is there even a purpose to it? Is it all part of the plan? I guess we will have to wait until the movie is released to find out what happens.

What do you think is going to happen at the end of Paranormal Activity 4? Do you think this is going to be the last one? Leave your comments, thoughts and ideas in the comments section below!

Free Screening

Paramount Pictures has announced, as they have done with the previous three Paranormal Activity films, is that the top 25 cities with the most votes will get a free, pre-release screening of Paranormal Activity 4. All you have to do is go to this website here and cast your vote for your city. I am hoping to actually be able to attend this year if my city wins.

Paranormal Activity 4 opens October 19th, 2012

@eamonn I kind of feel the same way. I didn't really like the first one so much but i supported it because it was an indie, low budget flick. I thought the second one was better but the third one was pretty damn awesome. I'm excited for this next one.

I think that only the third movie was good, actually it was amazing, the first and second were alright i guess but this fourth one looks amazing!

Hunter has turned into a creepy little freak :(

@thefilmguy24 Hopefully in this new one all of our unanswered questions will be explained. The trailer implies that it could be the last one, or at least the last one to follow Katie, so hopefully they don't leave us with an ambiguous, unresolved ending.

Exactly I don't want it to feel like a repeat but want it to be kept fresh and new. In Paranormal 1 and 2 we heard about Katie and Kristi's house caught on fire due to some strange reason and in Paranormal 3's trailer we saw that happen but it never made it into the final cut of the film which leaves that open. Also in the first two films they talk about their mother going crazy but their mother dies in Paranormal 3. So what I'm guessing is that in 4, they will explain that since their grandmother takes care of them, she brainwashed them to think that she was their mother, but that is only my guess. I agree that they are getting better and the story is starting to come together but with some questions that are still unanswered.

@thefilmguy24 Yeah, we need something new or it'll end up like a replica of one of the previous three. I'm not sure how much the Facetime/Skype will contribute to the scares but I'm hoping it keeps the movie feeling fresh. I have a feeling that what happened with the last Paranormal Activity movie will happen to this one in which they show really creepy scenes in the trailer that never make it into the final movie. If they do that we may never get an idea of whats going on until we actually see the movie. I do feel that the movies are getting progressively better so here to hoping that's the case with this one as well.

I just hope that they will do new things to scare us. It looks like the FaceTime or Skype thing is something new they are trying to do to bring on the scares. We may just have to wait and see what this Katie and Hunter thing has to do with the blonde girl's family, hoping we'll get another trailer maybe explaining this. I've been waiting for this teaser since I heard that Paramount announced a 4th entry into the series.

I completely agree. For that hour and a half all I want is to be scared, and for the most part they deliver.

I love watching the paranormal movies even though I know they are fake they are still fun to watch.
