My Tribute To Patrick Swayze

Updated on November 4, 2016

About The Man Himself

I think Patrick Swayze was one of the sexiest men in the world, and he was a pretty decent actor too. From a small part in M*A*S*H to the sexy instructor in "Dirty Dancing", they don't get much more talented than that.

Did you know that he actually trained in Ballet Dancing? Or that he played High School Baseball? How about that all the dancing scenes in "Dirty Dancing" were actually him? And, oh yeah, he actually trained in Martial Arts too. That's why he did such a good job in "Roadhouse."

Rest In Peace Patrick.

A Eulogy

After a 20-month fight with a very aggressive form of cancer, Patrick Swayze died peacefully with friends and family around him, on September 14, 2009, at the age of 57. He was hoping to live long enough for us to find a cure, but alas, is was not meant to be.

Rest in Peace, you will be sorely missed. Thank you for the courage you had to fight your disease to the very end.

[in reply to papawu] He had a small part in an episode of the series. He came in injured with a buddy, and his buddy needed a blood transfusion. He wanted to give his buddy his blood, but when they tested him for blood types, they found out he had leukemia. Until I saw the episode recently, I hadn't remembered him being in it either.

More than ever, I am really pulling for him to make a full recovery. It's sick how many false reports they put out about him and his health.Been a fan for long tie and hope to be able to be one for a long time to come. Oh, and he was in the movie MASH, or the TV show? For the life of me, I can't remember him in either. I can only remember hi back to "The Outsiders" and "Uncommon Valor" with Gene Hackman.

I tried watching Beast, but I didn't like it very much. But I'm a fan of Patrick Swayze. I really liked Ghost, Dirty Dancing and Roadhouse. I'm a fan of Jeff Healey too, and it was cool seeing him in Roadhouse too. Nice lens and thanks for the read!

I loved To Wong Fu. It was fun to see him play something so different, and do it so well.
