4 stars for The Peanuts Movie

The Peanuts Movie is a series of classic comics, TV shows, and movies. The new Peanuts movie lives up to the masterful and greatness of what Peanuts are supposed to be. Though this doesn’t make the movie a good one, at least in these eyes. Can’t fault the Peanuts movie as it pays homage to the classic tales of Charles Schulz.

However, the Peanuts Movie just isn’t my cup of tea. It’s not a movie that’s really entertaining, fun, or even funny. It’s too much geared and marked towards kids. This results in a boring movie that almost similar to Winnie the Pooh. I never grew up on the Peanuts, so I don’t have that nostalgic feeling one my have towards the movie. If it was a remake of the classic Pokémon or other cartoons from my childhood, I might enjoy it a lot more. Though this seems to be even more driven towards kids than those Pokémon adventures.

Giving a bad grade for the Peanuts movie would be ignorant, as it does exactly what the Peanuts movies should do. The new animation was very interesting and it really hit home that nostalgic feeling. I’ve seen the Peanuts movies before and I never quite liked them. Though my mom grew up on the film and we watched them as a kid. She would be the person to enjoy this movie.

Overall, I can’t fault the movie for staying true to the original formula. So for the first time, I will have two reviews for the film. It’s great for those who are fans of the films, but not so much for those who don’t feel the nostalgic or feel it’s too much for kids.
