Photo's St. Ives, Cornwall

Updated on March 10, 2013

I was strolling around the seafront of St. Ives today and along the cobbled high street and back street. Here are a few of the photos and also of one of the many horses in the field behind the barn we are renting.

Hi Dim Flaxenwick, You are very welcome :-) I am so glad you enjoyed them. Today we went to Halford and St. Anthony with their beautiful estuaries and lovely thatched cottages - but when I got there, I found that my camera battery had died! Here I was in the most heartbreakingly gorgeous places and the best weather we had so far...and no camera!...so will have to go back tomorrow. Be sure I will add photos of these gorgeous coves here on my site - I am so glad you appreciate them. Take care, Helen

Beautiful pics. l think you have done me a favour.

l´ve been here over 12 months now and still can´t get to grips with living in the countryside. (Partly because it´s the far north of England, cold and/or raining even now in June,. Your pics remind me that l see similar things not far rom my door. l just have to learn to appreciate them. Thank you, dear friend, You´ve helped me.

Hi brightforyou - Not only were the photos all fun to view, those of the sea gull were really great. They looked great, per se, and they reminded me of the antics of a publisher's wife on the wharf at Galveston, Texas, one time. she was tossing shrimp into the air for the crowd of gulls swooping in to catch them on the wing. In between tossing, she would monkey around with things in her hands. We wondered what she was doing. Turned out that she was peeling the shrimp before tossing them to the gulls. When asked why, she explained that she did not want the birds to injure themselves on shrimp shells.

      Gus :-)))

Isn't it wonderful to be able to stroll along the seafront. I could alsmost smell the sea breeze from the photos. Looks like a really lovely place to visit, and I so loved the photos especially of the sea, and was that a seagull?
