Piano lessons at home: all about it

Updated on June 22, 2009

It is generally considered that learning to play a musical instrument is good for your education. This is event more true if you are interested in learning to play the piano.

The best way to learn to play is having piano lessons at home. You can have a relaxed environment where you can get the most out of your piano professor, and you can truly get the best of the money you are spending.

(by the way, if you are also interested in making money on the web, you should also check this web page describing Google Ambush, the next generation of money making on the web).

Advantages of getting piano lessons at home

There are many advantages of having piano lessons at home, instead of at a particular music school. For example, I have a friend that decided to start with piano lessons, and told me some of the advantages of doing this in the comfort of home. Here are some of the most important advantages:

  • You don't have to drive. Yes, you are trying to relax your mind by playing music, so you don't want to add another commute to your schedule. Even if your school is close by, there is still the inconvenient of leaving home, entering the car, and finding a parking place, which takes at least 15 minutes. You could save all this time by getting piano lessons at home, instead.
  • You have the whole attention of your professor. If you go to a piano school, you probably need to share the attention with one or other person at the same location. If your professor is at home, you can get his or her complete attention.
  • You can have a study plan that is customized to you. Why do what everybody does? You are a unique person, and some things are easier to do than others. By having piano classes at home, you can work with your professor to get a personalized training schedule, that will suite your needs.

Where to find piano professors that give lessons at home

This is the easy part, in fact. The web has now local search sites that will help you to find the right person to teach you. For example, you can go to google local search and search for piano professors in you local area.
To do this, go to, then locate your home in the map, and type your search, such as "piano lessons at home". This will certainly bring several results with local piano teachers in your area.

Learning the Piano is a really nice activity. However, learning at home is even better. Nowadays, it is cheaper than ever to find a google piano teacher at your location. I suggest that you use some search tool, such as google, yahoo, of to find a professor for your piano lessons at home.
