Piranha 3D Review

Piranha 3D Review

** Warning Contains Spoilers **

Piranha is a remake of the 1978 film, well it is the second remake actually. The 3D version in cinemas now was directed by Alexandre Aja (the hills have eyes), and written by Pete Goldfinger and josh Stolberg, who wrote sorority row.

The response to the film premiere was really good with 81 per cent of critics giving the film a positive review.

Fisherman Matthew Boyd is fishing in Lake Victoria, AZ when an earthquake hits, splitting the lake floor and causing a whirlpool. Boyd falls in and is ripped apart by prehistoric piranhas that emerge from the chasm and ascend the vortex.

Meanwhile Sheriff Julie Forester, a working mum who leaves her teenage son Jake (Steven McQueen) to babysit her two younger kids, while she patrols the Spring Break parties on nearby Lake Victoria discovers Matthews mutilated body and considers closing the beach down.

Jake however is being distracted by porn king Derrick and his two sexy sidekicks, Danni who is played by Kelly Brook and Crystal who is played by Riley Steele.

Derrick ask Jake to help him find a excluded spot to shoot his new movie and Jake chooses a lake filled with prehistoric piranha, who've been freed by a recent earthquake. Derrick needs the lake for the centrepiece scene in Danni and Crystal's new X-rated video and not long after the piranhas start causing havoc at both the shoot and the Spring Break celebrations.

Sheriff Julie and her team arrive on the scene and after saving many tourists, Julie and professional diver Novak get a boat and manage to save Jake and Dani and kill of most of the piranhas with a explosion. But where are the other Piranhas hiding?

The movie has a lot of gory deaths and the directors have definitely tried raising the ratings with bikini shots every five minutes, so if you like boobs and blood then this is the film for you.

An announcement was made on Monday that a sequal is already in the planning stages.

No, offense, but it's normally never a good idea to give away an ending to any film. Otherwise, why bother even seeing it all? Although I do agree with most of your opinions, but I would just be more mindful of not giving away too much during a hub.
