This video by Canadian band Haywire was sizzling and seductive for the time. Catchy beat and lyrics and a sound that kind of rocked too. DROP THE NEEDLE!

This is a fun, energetic and cute pop song that forever lives on. Whitney Houston was at the height of her fame and released a playful and colorful video to enjoy along with her amazing voice.

This soft pop kind of melancholy number from legendary Tina Turner featured a memorable video with Tina playing an elegant ballroom dancer for hire. This track was actually originally recorded by Dire Straits.

This was my introduction to David Bowie as a pre-teen, when on a music show this video was facing off against another by hot band of the day (Duran Duran) I watched a lot of videos as a kid and Bowie was a big deal around this time for a new generation. His videos and music, including this funky dance track were a great part of the 80's experience.

This jovial unforgettable 80's hit will inspire you to move. The song was written after the lead singer of the band was kicked out of a club for pogo dancing. The video looks like an English folk renaissance faire and is quite entertaining.

This pop punk classic from Billy Idol is a great track to listen to loud and feel the energy take over. Great for a party or just dancing alone! Billy is looking pretty hot in the video too.

One of Abba's most popular hits and a great party song that brings joy. I have a memory of this song being revived in a bar called the Trasheteria, where Wednesday's in the mid 1990s were 'retro night' I still remember the energy of the crowd dancing to this on the compact stage and dance floor. An eternal classic!

One of the most energetic tracks on the playlist, this disco track is the one to get silly to and bust out some dormant long forgotten, or newly acquired retro dance moves.

Such a cool but easy going song from the awesome album Houses of the Holy. The guitar sound was inspired by an Indian tune the band heard while traveling in Bombay.
