Even though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex know they are in front of the camera most of the time, they don't feel embarrassed to hold hands, touch each other and sometimes they kiss in public.
Connected and in Love

Other body language experts agree with Dr. Green that the royal couple displays how much they love each other. They have pointed out that there is a look of admiration on each of their faces that points to the fact that they are very much in love.
Meghan frequently smiles at Prince Harry even when he is not looking. He also exhibits smiles of approval for her. Their smiles show that they are in harmony with each other.
Experts have noticed several things about the way Prince Harry and Meghan hold hands. You might be thinking there is only one way. However, there are several ways, and the young couple has displayed many of them that you might not have noticed.
- Interlocked fingers
- Prince Harry's hand on top of his wife's hand
- Duchess Meghan's hand on top of her husband's hand
- Double holding hands
- Clasping hands

Back Pats and Rubs
Another romantic gesture body experts have noticed is that Prince Harry places his hand gently on Meghan’s back as they walk. Dr. Greer believes it is Prince Harry’s way of helping his pregnant wife move gracefully through crowds of many people.
Meghan is often seen rubbing her husband's arm. Greer describes the arm rubs and back pats to symbolize reassurance each other is there.
Prince Harry Protecting His Wife
Body expert Lisa Mitchell explains that since his wife has been pregnant, Prince Harry sometimes walks slightly in front of her with his arm around her. That is an indication that he is supporting her by being a protective barrier between her and others.
Body language expert Judi James believes that there is something special in the way Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan constantly lock eyes. James says it is their way of reassuring each other without saying a word. This subtle and silent action proves they care very much for each other.
The photo above was taken when Prince Harry and Meghan were on their royal tour in Australia last October. Body language expert Craig Baxter pointed out how the couple is staring at each other and holding hands in the rain.
Attitude Towards Children
Parenting expert Anna Williamson says she has noticed the royal couple's attitude towards children. They both appear to share similar affection got their little fans. They both stop and stoop down to give the children a hug and to talk to them.
Williamson believes their body language is warm and genuine which is a preview of the type of parents they will be beginning in just a few weeks.
Meghan is frequently photographed with one or both hands on her growing belly. Some people have criticized her for cradling her belly so often. James explains that is a gesture of both great joy and affection for her and Harry’s unborn baby.
The Duchess of Sussex isn't doing anything new. Other pregnant women have been cradling their bellies all over the world for years. However, they have not been photographed daily by the media.
Public Display of Affection (PDA)
It’s obvious that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are deeply in love with each other, and we don’t need a body language expert to explain that to us. Everyone can see that Prince Harry and Meghan are in love and don't mind expressing it in public.
Other than casually holding hands and rubbing backs, the couple has been photographed kissing in public. They did this when Prince Harry won a polo match in 2018.
This type of PDA is unlike what other royals do. For instance, how many times have you seen Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip show PDA in public? How about Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall? They don't do what the younger royals are doing.
No Body Language Expert Needed
People don't have to be a body language expert to see that the couple loves each other. There is absolutely no way anyone can watch the couple and not see the signs that they are definitely in love.
